• Employment Type: TravelJOB DESCRIPTION: -Position Title: ER Registered Nurse - - - - - -1. - - - -General job duties. -Types of procedures required. Types and ages of patients, number of rooms: Able to provide nursing care to patients of all ages- 18 bed, level 2 Trauma center, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, respiratory, etc. Very face-paced environment. -2. - - - -Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) - - - -What equipment is attached to the clinic, x-ray, lab or do they have to send out for these? What hospitals will have privileges if any: - - - Epic computer charting. Pyxis medication dispenser. RNs draw labs, lab in house, RN does neb treatments. RT in house. -X-Ray staff on site in ED. -3. - - - -Required skills and minimum years of experience. Skills may include anything from Surgical (Ortho, Neuro, CV, etc.) Family Practice, Cardiology, Geriatrics, etc. - - - -Ortho, Neuro, cardiology, pediatrics, respiratory, geriatrics, all patients seen in an ER -4. - - - -Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. (BLS, ACLS, NCCPA/AANP) Is a national certification required? Is a DEA, Prescriptive Authority required? BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, no DEA required -5. - - - -Shift or schedule requirements. (What support staff are in the clinic; Is a doctor available by phone, in the clinic, etc.) Is call required? -If so, how often? Are weekends required?12 hours shifts, day, pm, or nights. No call. Every third weekend rotation. Board certified ER Dr. present at all times, works also with PA. EMTs as ancillary staff in ED. -6. - - - -Number of patients in a day; who do they have as support staff?92 patients per day average. -7. - - - -Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only): 1:38. - - - -Dress Code: your choice scrubs9. - - - -Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. - - -2 days general hospital orientation, 1 day Epic training with healthstream and department specific training, 2 days with preceptor. Then on own if ready. -Additional Comments: -* Looking for ER trained RN only, preferable trauma background. Must have ED experience and be willing to work varied shifts. Start ASAP. - -* 32 hours per week; .8 FTE -*Please note on occasion travelers could be required to float to other facilities within home facilities region.$2600 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
