Responsibilities require strong analytical skills as candidates will be developing a new business intelligence asset that enables data-driven decision making and maximizes client adoption of Optum's claims pricing capabilities. Candidates must also demonstrate excellent data management and data quality skills.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.**Primary Responsibilities** :+ Strategy+ Support ETL and data engineering project efforts: design, implementation, and testing+ Evaluate and monitor data integrity for continuous improvement+ Work directly with internal stakeholders to determine and document customer demographics+ Meet with internal stakeholders to define requirements, assist with questions related to project outcomes+ Analysis+ Interpret data to identify patterns that lead to improvements in business practices+ Apply analytical / quantitative approach to problem solving involving revenue, sales, market information or customer engagement metrics+ Delivery+ Communicate analysis outcomes in a clear and in actionable way+ Internal stakeholder training on business intelligence tools+ Develop dashboards and analytical tools that allow key stakeholders to self-serve+ Create ad-hoc and re-occurring reports to answer key business questions+ Knows how to obtain and use data, and comfortable with statistical concepts+ Develop tools or data models to help visualize or monitor data+ Interpret data to identify patterns that lead to improvements in business practices+ Delivering internal stakeholder training on business intelligence toolsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.**Required Qualifications:**+ 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel- pivot tables, v-look ups+ 3+ years of experience working with relational databases (SQL Server, MySQL, etc.), database structures and design, systems design and data management+ Experience developing and delivering analysis & reports within Office365 framework+ Proficient in one or more programming languages (Python, R, etc.)+ Solid troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills+ Solid proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI & Tableau+ Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams+ Automated task/email reporting from Office365 framework**Preferred Qualifications**+ Bachelor's Degree or 5+ years of experience in application development+ 3+ years of experience working with relational databases, database structures and design, systems design and data management+ Specific Experience developing in SQL, PowerBI, Sharepoint and Office365 framework**Careers with Optum** .
