This is an exciting role within the rapidly growing Optum
HouseCalls division within UnitedHealth Group. HouseCalls is a
service offered by Optum to eligible members, where a Nurse
Practitioner visits the member's home once a year to conduct a
thorough medical health assessment on the member. This is a highly
sought after service in the Medicare market with positive clinical
benefits for our members and the company.
As a Senior Business Analyst , you will be vital to our success and
will help drive future growth. In this role you will be responsible
for developing strategies and models, manipulating data, performing
analyses, driving process improvements, and building collaborative
relationships with our stakeholders to help achieve our performance
and financial commitments. You will be empowered to make decisions
and drive value as you identify opportunities to improve our
operational processes through the use of data and technology
leading to growth of our business and to enhance our mission of
helping people live healthier lives.

Primary responsibilities:
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, manage
multiple priorities and deadlines, be detail-oriented and work
independently as well as in groups
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications

Strong analytical and strategic skills. Must have ability to
analyze data and results and understand implications
Innovative thinker capable of operating both in a
hands-on/execution capacity (detail-oriented, conscientious) as
well as a strategic capacity
Overseedatabase development and modification efforts
Developand maintaindocumentation and standards
Gather, organize, and interpretstatistical data from the database
to provide reports to, and answer questions from, upper
management
Design, deploy, and manage database ETL processes. SSIS and/or
Talend
Manage the client intake requests and build into ad-hoc request
Provide ad-hoc analysis based on output to business to address
short term/long term concerns
Work with other teams to incorporate model's outputs into
downstream process
Control quality of work flow and document the process
Enhance the accuracy of model outputs to optimize operational
performance and achieve financial targets

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate Degree (or higher) in MIS, statistics, computer
science, mathematics, information management, business, or a
related field OR equivalent experience
3+ years of experience of performing data analysis and reporting
development
3+ years of experience with writing SQL queries and stored
procedures with relational databases
2+ years of experience with problem investigation and resolution
skills
2+ years of experience with data analysis
Understanding of statistical tools
Intermediate level of proficiency in MS packages
Ability to plan, implement, test, and troubleshoot complex
technologies, software, system solutions
Proficiency with MS Project, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and
SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications:
Data manipulation tools like SQL or others
ETL tools like Microsoft SSIS and/or Talend
Tableau/Power BI
Visio
Ability to support ad-hoc operations efforts in various
capacities
Ability to convert data into business value story and explain the
rationale
Self-motivated and enthusiastic
Communicate and lead in a manner that fosters collaboration,
greater understanding, employee engagement and commitment to
results
Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization
skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
Ability to complete work assignments and achieve results in a

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City, or Washington
residents is $67,800 to $133,100. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
