It's an opportunity to do your life's best work.(sm) Clinical Quality Performance (CPQ) is dedicated to improving the health of our Care Delivery Organization (CDO) members and improve the CDO quality performance across WellMed and Optum Care through our expertise in quality knowledge. In line with the quadruple aim we utilize data analytics and process improvement strategies, share best practices, goals, and guidelines to drive and inspire practice transformation with every interaction.The Business Analyst is a key team member on the CPQ Team and provides support of our CDO Medicare Advantage membership, with the goal of achieving continuous performance improvement in HEDIS, CAHPS and HOS to maintain and exceed 4+ Star performance. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities The Business Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Regional Quality Directors and the Quality Operations Team Stakeholders in the following way:

  • Assist with overall development and execution of National and Local Market quality based best practices, programs, and data driven solutions that align to the needs of the Regional Quality Director and the Quality Operations Team
  • Perform complex business analysis to support overall process and quality outcome improvement outcomes with a focus on STARS/HEDIS/CAHPS and HOS
  • Serve as a liaison across all Regional Quality Directors to promote standardization of process, reporting, and overall Quality Team needs
  • Develop and update various types of project documentation, such as communication plans, project deliverables, business requirement documents, issue logs, standard operating procedures, workflows, program inventories, etc.
  • Develop processes and procedures to ensure timely delivery of quality bases projects and goals as identified by the Regional Quality Director
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and develop associated action plans
  • Attend project and team meetings to review deliverables and deadlines
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with departmental Vice Presidents, Regional Quality Directors and Team Managers
  • Tailor internal and external communications with audience and purpose in mind
  • Ensure successful team meeting outcomes through the preparation of meeting objectives, agendas, ensuring necessary supporting material is available, documentation of the meeting discussion and follow-up of action items
  • Implement and evaluate programs and projects, coordinate business goals/objectives, collaborate with project team members, develop measurable project goals/objectives, and monitor progress to completion
  • Identify, develop, and present recommendations that will result in the closure of quality measure gaps
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate programs and projects in support of department and team business goals and objectives
  • Provide project support of Quality initiatives (project planning, IRAD tracking, project status updates, issue and risk mitigation)
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts to identify and recommend new or modified reporting for the Regional Quality Director and CDO market's consideration
  • Support the Data Analysts in the distribution and review of all reports developed for internal quality team members and Local CDO Markets

    • Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field (4 additional years of comparable work experience beyond the required years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree)
    • 3+ years of project coordination, project management, or project administration experience
    • 2+ years of managed care, Care Delivery organization, or quality experience
    • Intermediate level proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Proficiency in Word, Visio, Outlook, and SharePoint

      • Experience working in a matrixed work environment

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900.
