JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for insuring compliance with all
federal labeling regulations as it relates to facility produced
items, store back scale labels and all other private label items.
Also ensuring consistency and accuracy of format and content across
products and locations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The following description of work to be performed by this
individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses
on the major tasks that must be accomplished. There are many
necessary activities to satisfy any of the following performance
guidelines.
- Develop tools and manage processes which can assist in the flow
of labeling and label template information throughout the
organization
- Develops plan, manages and monitors timeliness and process of
new and revised labeling ensuring all deadlines are met
- Manage the labeling documentation file, to include but not
limited to, label database(s); maintain and update regulatory
labeling requirements
- Reviews and releases labeling for package labels, cartons and
other related materials ensuring they meet all documented
inputs
- Identifies and makes improvements to labeling processes,
systems, tool, and policies
- Review and ensure all labeling content and formats are meeting
regulatory requirements
- Communicate with various stakeholders in the organization as
well as outside suppliers
- Train applicable store teams in the use of back scale label
formats through the creation of Standard Operating Procedures
- Communicate with regulatory agencies as necessary to perform
job functions
- Work within the retail quality team as a subject matter expert
in retail labeling
- Perform retail inspections of labels to ensure compliance

- Perform all other related assignments (including special
projects) as required in a professional and cooperative manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent
- Desired: Associate's or bachelor's degree in management, food
science, culinary or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience
- Three or more years' experience in the food industry,
preferably, quality assurance, product development or culinary
- Label management and documentation experience desired
- LFHI Competencies expected of all employees include: action
