Overview
The Account Executive provides advanced client support, including
comprehensive account management for a book of business, from
proposal through evaluation of risk and industry changes. The
position requires a significant degree of independent judgment and
discretion and is responsible for developing others through formal
and informal leadership and mentoring. In accordance with the
seniority of the role, the Account Executive possess advanced
product, carrier, and underwriting knowledge and remains informed
of industry changes in these areas.

What You'll Do
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Position will require field service of
approximately 80 clients located in primarily western WI with
additional accounts to be potentially located in MN, IN, NE, MI, &
PA. The Account Representative will be the primary contact for
these clients. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Meet with clients & perform Best Practice & Service reviews
based on established goals and/or as required
- Position will potentially require 40-50% travel or as
needed
- Assist with employer/employee questions & concerns
- Identify problem areas or potential problems & help develop
solutions
- Attend required conferences/conventions
- Needs analysis
- Policy analysis
- Identify potential cross-selling opportunities & help provide
proper product placement
- Work & collaborate with Midwest Region team, NIS Inside Service
Team, MidAmerica, & other partners
- Employer/employee/retiree education
- Plan implementation
- Contract accuracy
- Compliance review
- Serve as liaison between clients, NIS, & our partner carriers
(i.e., MidAmerica)
- Support department & company initiatives

What You'll Need
- 6+ years of related experience and/or training preferred, or
demonstrated skills listed below.
- Current Life and Health license required; professional
designations preferred
- Experience as primary contact providing comprehensive client
support to a group of accounts.
- Advanced knowledge of available commercial lines coverages
based on business and industry; knowledgeable about vertical
industry trends and client retention strategies.
- Skilled at facilitating meetings and delivering presentations
to groups
- Highly developed problem solving and solution-design skills;
strong written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced client support and client advocacy skills
- Demonstrated leadership through mentoring and guidance of more
junior employees
- Highly proficient in use of Microsoft Office or similar
software, including spreadsheet and presentation software;
- Skilled in use of agency management software; able to quickly
