Job Description Flexible Circuit Technologies (FCT) is seeking an Applications Engineer - PCB / Flexible Circuits / Rigid Flex Circuits / Flexible Heaters

• Flexible Circuit Technologies (FCT) is a premier supplier within the rapidly growing electronics industry. FCT supports the design, prototyping and production of flexible circuits, rigid flex circuits, flexible heaters, and membrane switches.
• We also provide value added EMS assembly, testing services, and product module to complete product box builds. FCT is customer focused and expects team members to provide extremely responsive support to the customers we serve. FCTs Application Engineers need to possess expertise relating to the design of Flexible Circuits, Rigid Flex circuits, flexible
  heaters (a plus); including expertise in materials, mechanical functionality of circuits and materials, expertise in design rules,
  and offer demonstrated expertise in consulting with customers in support of developing cost-effective designs. Responsibilities
  • Must gain understanding for customers business, use of our products and services, specific project details related to current project including circuit requirements and application and work to develop relationships with customer contacts in effort to develop a trusted advisor relationship
  • Review of customer provided files/drawings, analyze technical specifications and requirements inclusive of application, stack up, material requirements, mechanical requirements, or other and utilize expertise to provide design consultation in support of developing cost-effective designs that will meet customer requirements
  • Attain costing information, develop appropriate quotes, provide quotes to customer and follow up in an effort to secure business
  • Work with CAD services group to assure we finalize customer file and attain customer approval prior to builds
  • Track timeline to assure FCT is meeting customer requirements and timeline; provide customers with updates while keeping them apprised of the overall project
  • Follow up on prototypes to review performance, assist with any required design changes, and to push the program forward to production.
  • In cases, work directly with customer as the lead FCT resource providing the above services but also has the ability to work as part of an Account Team whereby the AE will work with Program Manager and Customer Support team members to support large customers and/or more complex programs
  • Beyond Flexible Circuits and Rigid Flex help customers to understand FCTs Assembly, Testing, to Box Build services and support these types of programs.
  • Understanding for manufacturing and build process for flexible circuits and rigid flex and able to support manufacturing to attain success Requirements/Skills:
    Demonstrated experience as a PCB/Flexible Printed Circuit/Rigid Flex designer including expertise in design rules, IPC.
    Demonstrated success in attaining business based upon follow up related to opportunities that you are working on
    Ability to work in a fast pace environment on a broad range of projects while maintaining a sense of urgency to satisfy
    and meet customer requirements, need, and timelines.
    Ability to work as a team player and possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
    Must be willing to travel, at times, in support of sales and customer related activities.
