Manufacturing Operations Lead's in Chaska, MN - $$24.03 to
$26.44/Hour DOE Our Manufacturing Operations Lead's workweek is
Monday to Friday with hours starting at 8:00 am until 4: 30 pm.
This job is a Skilled Industrial type position that that pays
$$24.03 to $26.44/Hour DOE and is a Temp-to-hire opportunity.
Manufacturing Operations Lead Duties and Responsibilities -
Operating responsibilities Mechanical assembly - Assemble circuit
boards and components into enclosures and housings. Placement and
orientation as shown in procedures or as directed.- Assemble
brackets, sensors, discs, wraps and other products as required or
directed.- Punch and drill enclosures to house PCS products and
pilot devices such as relays, lights, and switches as shown in
procedures, drawings, or as directed.- Assemble electronic circuit
boards and subassemblies per procedures or as directed. Assemble
boards as efficiently as possible. Assemble components to boards
with all parts flush to the board, oriented correctly, neat bends
on leaded components as required. Clean solder joints, heated
correctly with good flow through.- Install, label, and wire
components in control panels as shown in procedures or drawings.-
Document and maintain documentation on calibration procedures for
all PCS products and subassemblies.- Using established procedures,
or as directed, perform calibration/test work on subassemblies and
final products using established procedures or as directed.-
Understand and demonstrate use of shop test equipment including
VOM, oscilloscope, frequency generator, tachometer, temperature
calibrator, motorized test stand, and other equipment as required
to complete assigned calibration work.- Understand and demonstrate
knowledge of the relationship of frequency to the number of magnets
on product targets and the type of sensor used.- Record calibration
data on job documentation as required.- Perform tests and document
condition of returned goods. Repair same as directed. Inventory-
Manage inventory to ensure parts are on hand to build product and
adequate products and subassemblies are available to meet sales
requirements. - Accurately record inventory used- Take a monthly
physical inventory Quality Control- Quality control is a key
component of all job activities. Responsibility for quality control
in each job area is as follows:- Inventory-Inspect incoming parts
to ensure they meet our specifications. Document incoming parts
information as required. - Epoxy - work performed gluing or potting
component parts of all assemblies that require it presents only one
chance to do the job correctly. Any QC rejection after the glue is
dry, or mistaken parts assembled, poorly mixed or applied product
result in discarded parts. Final inspection for epoxy work happens
coincidently with the process of gluing. The highest level of
quality should be the goal both in appearance and function.-
Shipping - Pull parts from inventory to satisfy sales documentation
and confirm all correct parts and documentation are present-sign
order sheet to indicate this has been done. The next person that
sees packed product is the customer. It must be packed securely,
neatly, be marked as required. The package must include all
required parts. The packaging job is the final inspection before
shipment. Calibration and test - Calibration and test work is the
final test of product functionality. It must be done correctly as
listed in procedures or as directed to ensure our products perform
to the listed specifications. Shipping/ packaging- Pull parts as
required for orders- Confirm all parts and documentation are
correct and sign initial sales document.- Document shipment with
photos as required. - Create and apply labels as required both on
the product and the packaging materials.- Test any assemblies that
require testing- Select box sizes as appropriate for the product
shipping- Follow guidelines and direction for international
shipment minimum box sizes- Provide accurate information back to
the office regarding weight and size- Complete shipping in a timely
manner as directed- Maintain box, tape, and peanut inventory-
Securely package all product for shipment to prevent damage but do
not overpack. Epoxy- Responsible for epoxy inventory including
requisitioning material, rotating stock by date, providing any
special care for epoxy such as rotating containers to prevent
settling.- Maintain an adequate inventory of discs to support sales
or as directed- Neatly glue all products avoiding drips, smears,
and other appearance defects- Keep a neat, organized glue area as
directed- Judge, on a daily basis, the quality and efficacy the
epoxy products in use and bring any concerns to management
Management responsibilities- Manage the flow of work through the
shop including what is built and who builds it. Establish the
priority of shop orders both for build to inventory and build for
sale. Maintain, create, and organize necessary documentation to
build all products and subassemblies.- Manage inventory from a
quality, operations, and sales perspective. Coordinate requirements
with purchasing. Ensure parts are on hand to build product and
adequate products and subassemblies are available to meet sales
requirements. Work with purchasing to identify and qualify
alternate parts. Work with outside vendors to resolve manufacturing
questions, and resolve delivery issues.- Maintain, create, and
organize necessary documentation to build all products and
subassemblies. - As needed, perform mechanical and electronic
assembly of all company products, glue and pot all products as
required, calibrate and test subassemblies, package and ship
products, track inventory monthly Technical sales support- Qualify
and manage sales leads- Handle incoming calls- Understand the
product line and help customers select, apply, and use the correct
product for their application- Communicate with customers verbally
and in writing regarding, quotations, proposals, technical support
pre and post-sale, answer questions regarding order status,
payment, shipping or other commercial issues.- Provide technical
support and documentation as required for representatives,
distributors or customers.- Enter orders, use company software
products. Technical support- Basic use of Autocad. Title block
changes and changes to existing drawings.- Understand the design
and function of our products and how that design relates to their
application.- Have a basic understanding of the type of systems our
products are used in. Both how they are mechanically installed and
how they are electrically connected.- Troubleshoot customer
problems over the phone and provide application and calibration
assistance. Manufacturing Operations Lead Requirements and
Qualifications -- Must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily- 2 years related experience and/or training- High
School diploma or GED required- Ability to define problems, collect
data, establish facts- Effectively communicate and understand job
instructions in the English language- Ability to perform basic
mathematical computations- 2-3 Years of Electronic Assembler and
manufacturing experience.- Experience in Electronic component
Quality Assurance audits and testing.- Minimum of 2 years of
customer service/sales experience.- Minimum of 2 years of
leadership/supervisory experience in an electronic assembly
manufacturing environment.- Strong organizations skilled- Strong
computer skills - proficient with the full Microsoft office suite.
