*At Securian Financial the internal position title is Infrastructure Consultant or Infrastructure Sr. Analyst* Position Overview The Content and Data Infrastructure (CDI) team which is part of Architecture, Infrastructure, and Enterprise Solutions (AIE) in ET has a staff opening. - The current opening is on the Data team primarily working on distributed DBMS systems of SQL Server and Oracle along with the support of cloud native database systems. - - For this postion, we are looking for a great teammate that has the skills and can contribute to the success in supporting Securian's database environments. - As part of the cloud transformation journey, we are also looking for someone with interest in or previous experience with Amazon AWS in supporting the companies cloud migration. - Specific responsibilities and initial job level will be dependent on the candidate's qualifications and experience. Summary of position accountabilities:

• Deploy, configure, patch and monitor Microsoft SQL Servers, Oracle, and cloud-native database systems. -
• Design, create and maintain the physical databases in SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud-native database systems. -
• Design and execute overall database architecture strategy, standards and practices as part of a team.
• Implement, support and maintain the company's -cloud computing database -resources.
• Support all areas of the enterprise, ensuring all databases run at optimal performance and proactively identify and troubleshoot databases performance issues.
• Configure and schedule utilities to ensure database integrity and recoverability.
• Provide 24x7 support of the database environment as part of a team on-call rotation.
• Assist project teams in the proper design and implementation of their database layer.
• Work with Application Development team to ensure database changes adhere to best practices and are properly implemented, prioritized and scheduled. Desired education and competencies:
• Strong technical skills and experience with distributed database environments (SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud-native database systems).
• Knowledge with infrastructure migration, virtualization, and AWS cloud computing. -
• Aptitude to dig into unfamiliar topics to identify a solution.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate errors and performance bottlenecks.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. **This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement** Physical job requirements:
• Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
• Ability to utilize telephone for up to 8 hours per day
• Ability to perform grasping tasks throughout the entire work day (examples: handwriting, grasping of equipment/machines, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, handling stacks of paper) Securian Financial
