And because we are a global company, your work may also include world travel.Job DescriptionFACTORY REPAIR SUPERVISORTo direct and coordinate the operation of all factory repair work centers including detailed planning of materials and labor to providing efficient, cost effective and timely repairs/ services of customer owned equipment.Primary Job Responsibilities;

  • Plans and supervises execution of daily activities in assigned area(s). Assigns and delegates tasks. Monitors schedule performance and adjusts dates on production orders to match capacity. Develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Establish, maintain, and monitor processes and procedures ensuring high quality of the area product/service, efficient operation, and compliance with ISO 9001 requirements and corporate policies.
  • Coordinates repair orders & activities to ensure delivery of factory repair orders. Utilize SAP to perform the following tasks
  • Creating returns deliveries, service orders, order reservations, and production orders.
  • Creating purchase orders to outside vendors, as required
  • Staging parts
  • TECCO Production orders and Service Orders
  • Creating and staging for delivery to customers
  • Partners with other area planners as appropriate when repair parts go cross functional to minimize disruptions to production.
  • Establishes priorities for work performed and updates sales on order process through existing systems, email and in person communication. Communicates with customers on an as needed basis, technical or schedule related issues
  • Assures the product of service of the assigned area meets all applicable quality requirements (i.e., engineering, project specific, product and industry standards).
  • Control cost of providing the products and services of assigned area(s). Monitors actual costs against estimated costs and directs corrective action as required. Directs development and implementation of product, system, and project cost improvements.
  • Establishes and applies performance metrics. Identifies opportunities for process and quality improvement. Evaluates employee performance and opportunities for improvement. Develops and implements solutions to process, quality, and employee improvement opportunities.
  • Monitors demand for area services and adjusts staffing levels to meet requirements using available methods including internal resources, contract agencies, and direct hiring.
  • Ensures assigned staff are qualified and appropriately trained for assigned work. Create and maintain training plans and records. Assures that appropriate training program(s) are in place and yielding required results.QualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent and 8 years applicable experience to include minimum of 1-year prior lead/supervisory experience.Preferred QualificationsAssociate degree in an applicable discipline and 4 years applicable experience to include minimum of 1-year prior lead/supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.KnowledgeBasic knowledge of MTS products including mechanical components, controllers, and transducersSkillsAbility to lead in a fast paced and changing environment. Production planning experience is preferredDutiesLeads, monitors, and measures all aspects of the MTS factory repair work centers. Includes daily planning of incoming and existing work as well as ensuring completed product gets shipped back to the customers in a timely manner.Level of workPlanning the daily workload of four factory repair work centers and leading the teams in those areasWork EthicCustomer focused mentality. Strong team player and communicator. Drive for results and continuous improvement.SupervisionOperates under limited supervision. Notifies & consults Factory Repair Manager on anything requiring escalationAccountabilityAccountable for meeting work center lead times ensuring customer satisfaction.
