This position will report to the Associate Director of Business Process on the Clinical Performance Business Solutions Team. The role will provide project management and operational support to a wide range of activities, teams, and levels of leadership to ensure applicable requirements and standards are adhered to. The role will work with various leaders on the team and may also take lead on less complex projects. This position serves as a liaison for internal departments and external partners to ensure optimal customer service and operational success of program initiatives. The role also works with leaders within the division as well as other departments to coordinate, document and/or improve processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Document, track, and follow-up with key projects/activities at the direction of project leaders
  • Participates in active project work groups and committees and provides recommendations to achieve goals. Facilitates meetings as necessary, contributes to planning and decision making, coordinates project resources and collaborates with project stakeholders to collect and disseminate project information
  • Prepare reports, presentations, verbal/written correspondences, agendas, notes and action items, communications, and other required documentation
  • Monitor and report progress throughout the project life cycle, using appropriate project planning and scheduling tools (e.g., dashboards, metrics) for project or program related meetings or events
  • Document processes and procedures to ensure business continuity
  • Understand and document business requirements, and work with both non-technical and technical resources to build solutions for business problems
  • Identify potential risks or issues in a timely way. Assist in developing and implementing contingency and recovery plans as needed
  • Manage own workload and work with minimal assistance to complete tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • 1+ years of professional or internship experience
  • Experience communicating internally and externally including strong written, verbal and communication skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products suite
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other company location
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of healthcare industry experience
  • Associate or bachelor's degree
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Experience with Smartsheet
  • SharePoint experience
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and complete complex work efforts to meet established objectives and deadlines
  • Ability to adapt in an environment with continually shifting priorities
  • Ability to take lead on project initiatives and drive collaboration
