As a Community Care Experience Team (CCET) Team Lead, you will be on the front lines of creating and implementing new, innovative ideas to help improve Veteran's healthcare delivery within the VA Community Care Network (VA CCN) contract. You will interface directly with the VA on a daily basis and manage a high caliber, client-focused team. You will oversee projects, define performance and results, and engage with the client in meaningful ways. This role will leverage your expertise in building relationships and team leadership, with the goal of making positive improvements that will impact Veteran's lives and enhance the VA's Health Care System. This is no small opportunity.

As a CCET Team Lead, your problem-solving and analytical skills will be utilized daily. You will take on tough challenges and work with your team to identify and execute solutions. Along the way, you will grow and develop your team of Veteran Experience Officers (VEOs) and energize your career while you do your life's best work.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and management for a team of VEOs
  • Act as VEO for a single, specified Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) where you will serve as the primary point-of-contact between the VA Medical Center (VAMC) Office of Community Care leadership and the Optum VA CCN team
  • You will establish regular meetings with the VAMCs in your VISN, helping to educate and train the VA Office of Community Care staff on the VA CCN program, building trust-based relationships
  • Work with CCET team leadership to provide direction and oversight of daily operations and interfaces with multiple VISNs and VAMCs to meet the goals of the VA CCN Contract
  • Create and maintain a positive relationship with VISN and VAMC leaders in assigned VISN's
  • Coordinate with CCET leadership to identify VA, VISN, and VAMC top priorities and assessment of local health care market nuances and development of mitigating strategies
  • Provide escalation resolution for VA stakeholders in the assigned VISNs and for assigned VEO team
  • Utilize analytics to improve VA care delivery in the community
  • Work with Network Advocates and VEO's to prioritize the needs of the VA client
  • Participate in special projects as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of leadership / management experience
  • 3+ years of business operations experience
  • 3+ years of military and/or VA experience
  • Experience identifying and helping solve problems that impact the management and direction of the business
  • Experience using data/reports to accomplish goals
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Up to 50% travel
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with direct customer/client interaction
  • DHA / VA / Government contract experience
  • Experience in the healthcare industry

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
