Job Description:

Direct Care Professional ACR Homes has over 50 locations throughout the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area. As a Direct Care Professional , you are responsible for meeting the emotional and physical needs of the people we support, being a positive role model, and helping them meet their personal goals. You will be assisting them with their daily living skills such as self-care, meals, transportation, and medical needs. You will also accompany them on a variety of recreational and leisure-time activities. Examples of tasks completed on shift: Some tasks may or may not be completed in different homes. This is not a comprehensive list. Preparing and passing medications ( we will train you ) Assisting residents at meal times Use of medical equipment such as hoyers, G/J tubes, blood pressure cuffs, oxygen tanks, ostomy bags etc. ( we will train you ) Completing range of motion and other therapies Assisting residents with personal cares Finding fun activities in and outside of the house to do with residents Advocating for residents during routine doctor appointments Building relationships with residents and co workers Various administrative tasks Flexible hours available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Requirements: NO healthcare experience is required to be hired with ACR Homes. Paid training is available. Have a valid U.S. driver''s license (no exceptions) Have access to a vehicle to get to and from your shifts (the bus does not qualify) Have the ability to lift 70 lbs.
