About the Role The Manager of Production will provide overall
leadership of manufacturing operations, utilizing Supervisors and
individual contributors. Responsible for managing and coordinating
operations, productivity, and work quality; ensuring parts and
assemblies are produced efficiently, on time, within budget, and to
specifications. What you'll Do The primary duties and
responsibilities of the Manager of Production consist of but are
not limited to: Lead, Manage, and Hold Accountable Create clear
expectations, communicate well, and ensure things get done. Create
a work environment where people are fully engaged and highly
accountable. Production Strategy Implement departmental goals and
objectives to attain the business objectives set by the Director of
Manufacturing, making sure goals align with overall company goals.
Plan, direct, and coordinate the production activities and
resources to support company goals, objectives, and profitability
of operations. Organize and structure the production department to
facilitate lean, efficient, and effective performance of business
operations. Daily Department Management Review and analyze
production dashboard report’s daily to measure and ensure
effectiveness and productivity goals are met, taking action
accordingly where metrics are missed. Monitor and manage KPIs for
manufacturing areas and support teams. Manage and provide direction
to supervisors over manufacturing/production employees. Monitor &
manage cost reductions, such as waste, scrap, damage, and rework.
Continuous Improvement Coordinate, recommend, and manage
improvements to reduce costs, increase efficiencies, and sustain
those improvements. Ensure quality standards and processes are used
throughout manufacturing. Work constantly with Quality Assurance on
continuous improvements and provide preventative and correction
actions when problems occur. Safety Support safety initiatives,
policies, and procedures to ensure plant operations are safe and
consistent with company and governmental standards and help reduce
accidents and injuries. Exhibit a working knowledge of health and
safety, responsible for safety awareness, while upholding and
improving the culture of safety within the organization. Identify
opportunities for improvement and take action if appropriate,
before a problem occurs. Report potential hazards, unsafe working
conditions, unsafe equipment, unsafe acts, and injuries
immediately. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial
technology, or engineering or work experience in place of
education. 4 years supervisory experience with teams of 10
employees or greater. 5 years' experience with precision CNC
manufacturing equipment, materials, processes, and systems in
versatile manufacturing environments. 2 years working with lean
manufacturing principles and techniques. Competencies Ability to
express ideas, share information, listen actively, and demonstrate
professionalism in written and verbal communications. Excellent
customer interfacing skills. Strong problem-solving and technical
skills related to materials and process technologies. The ability
to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced
environment. Strong business & financial acumen. Excellent people
management skills. Ability to understand, quickly react, and
motivate others to adapt to the changing organization environment.
Strong ability for calculated risk taking; independent decision
maker. Must be able to read and interpret drawings and
specifications. Able to use metrics to support organizational
objectives and goals. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate

Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and
working on a computer Lifting up to 30 lbs. Dexterity with
computers - the ability to type and use a mouse. Must be able to
meet customer demand requirements for performing visual inspection
and/or other product acceptance activities with or without
accommodation (only for positions in which this is a requirement of
the job per the customer requirement) Salary Description
$115,000-$152,000
