Job Description Job Description Erosion Works is an established
erosion control company, in business since 2008. We primarily serve
home and commercial builders around the Twin City area and work on
some highway projects. We are seeking well-rounded individuals to
join our team. No experience in erosion control? No problem, we
offer on-the-job training. We are looking for candidates who want
to grow with our company and start a career in the erosion
industry. These positions may offer year-round work, but if you
prefer winter activities or traveling somewhere warm, lay-off is an
option as well. As an industry leader in compensation, our final
candidate will enjoy a team atmosphere, opportunities for
advancement, and year-round employment. As a team member, you will
arrive at the shop in Nowthen at 6 am, load all necessary items for
the day, and either drive or ride in our trucks to the job sites.
After completing your assigned tasks, you will return to the shop
between 4 and 7 pm before heading home. As of 1/27/2025 Class A
Dump truck/ Skid Operator We are looking for someone who is
familiar with the operation of a Cat brand skid steer and a dump
truck. Class A is a must. Your daily tasks would include but are
not limited to Grading, picking up discarded erosion materials,
installing straw blanket, removal of old silt fence, and installing
new silt fence. Other tasks such as daily greasing of the skid, pre
trips, and the cleanness of the equipment. Class A Or D
Drive/laborers Looking for someone who could run a crew of one to
three people installing erosion products including silt fence.
Erosion logs, straw blanket, inlet protection, Floating Curtain,
Hydroseed, Straw Mulch, and Hydro Vac. We have 3500 for the D
drivers up to Semis for the A drivers. As a Forman you will be on
the ground with your crew installing these products with the
laborers. Equipment knowledge is a plus such as Cat Brand skid
steers. John Deere tractors, Ring O Matic hydro vac, Finn hydro
seeders, Laborers You will go out in the trucks with the Driver and
install erosion Products with them. Also, you could be at the shop
making erosion logs. In return, the candidate will possess the
following qualifications: - Strong work ethic, positive attitude,
honesty, and safety orientation - Must have a valid driver’s
license; Class A or B is a plus - Bilingual skills are a plus -
Customer service driven (understanding customer needs) - Ability to
work under various weather conditions - Ability to work 40 hours,
Monday to Friday; 6:00 am starting time - Reliable transportation -
Team player - Experience is a plus Physical Requirements: - Ability
to lift 50–100 lbs. following appropriate safety procedures - Work
in an upright standing position for long periods of time - Work in
various environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain); -
Walk and climb stairs; handle, finger, grasp, and feel objects and
equipment; - Reach with hands and arms; communicate, receive, and
exchange ideas and information through spoken and written words; -
Quickly and easily navigate property/building sites as required to
fulfill job functions; - Repeat various motions with wrists, hands,
and fingers; - Detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
