Senior Paralegal United States of America, Minnesota, Eden Prairie 1 additional locationUnited States of America, Rhode Island, Providence Legal Post Date Jul 21, 2022 Requisition # 143747 Sign Up for Job Alerts Purpose: To provide support to Legal Counsel and Employment Law business partners, which may include fact gathering, legal research and writing, document analysis, legal cite checking and preparing document productions. Job Responsibilities: + Work directly with internal personnel, outside counsel and third parties in gathering, reviewing, analyzing and processing legal documents and relevant information + Perform legal research and writing by using legal documents, company files, regulations and statutes, caselaw, and interviewing witnesses and third parties. Select, evaluate and compile data on designated issues and provide information to internal personnel, outside counsel or third parties as required + Assist in dispute resolution process working with outside counsel and third parties + Maintain complete files on legal disputes and litigation; manage and execute document collection; ensure deadlines and objectives are met + Investigate and respond directly to inquiries for assistance and advice from internal business partners and outside counsel + Responsible for creating and facilitating HR compliance training + Prepare training and guidance materials for internal business partners + Performs other relevant job duties as required Job Requirements: Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience: + College degree, paralegal certificate preferred Experience : + seven to ten years' experience preferred Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities : + Familiarity with advanced legal concepts and terminology, format of legal documents, legal research and writing + Proven planning and organizational abilities + Strong research, analysis and assessment abilities + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to deal effectively with personnel inside and outside the company + Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle confidential matter in a professional manner + Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and priorities with minimal supervision + Experience working with legal databases preferred + Experience with Legal Tracker preferred All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
