strategy, and problem-solving are vital in our next Vice President
of Information & Technology. As part of the Corporate Leadership
Team, this executive will help lead the company and drive a big
impact towards our goals during an important time of growth. This
Leader is the technology and information ambassador for the
company. They bring a passion for driving the optimization of and
solving complexities through technology, being end to end focused
with solutions, while holding high security and governance
standards, and enlightening and empowering users with technology. A
successful leader will be able to optimize our main system of
record, empower users, and enable new systems as integrated parts
of the enterprise operations. This role will lead IT strategic and
operational planning to achieve business goals, including managing
a multi-year roadmap that will support company's rapid growth. The
Vice President of Information & Technology is an effective
communicator who leads decisions through their strong business
acumen, pulling from the food industry, combined with their
enterprise systems and technology expertise. This leader drives
value and operates in accordance with the policies and practices of
E.A. Sween Company, the ethical and social consciences of business,
and the laws, regulations and administrative rulings of
governmental organizations and other regulatory and advisory
authorities and organizations. Main Responsibilities:
- Builds, leads, develops, and mentors the Information &
Technology team.
- The team is strategically aligned with the organization, and in
turn, the organization has trust in, and partnership with, the IT
function. IT team is engaged, is capable across the spectrum of the
information & technology ownership areas, and high performing.
- Is a trusted advisor on the Corporate Leadership Team and
provides analysis, support, and recommendations to the Board of
Directors on information for technology strategies.
- Strategic alignment with the organization. A high trust with
the Corporate Leadership Team and an improved line of sight for the
Board for information and technology matters.
- Establishes the strategic direction of the company's
information systems and technology and executes this strategy in
collaboration with company leadership.
- Is a financial steward of the company by developing, through
business understanding and cross functional planning, enterprise
strategies around technology and budgets. This includes advising on
IT capabilities to drive revenue and operating efficiencies and
building our multi-year IT strategy and roadmap to fuel growth and
productivity.
- Supporting to drive company financial performance. Ensuring
budgets and resources are allocated appropriately to attain desired
return on investment from the Information & Technology function and
check and adjust based on business needs. Resulting in a successful
achievement of short term, medium term, and long-term
organizational goals.
- Develops and regulates best practices for IT governance and
enterprise standards.
- Ensure effective and efficient use of IT across the
organization.
- Partners well internally and externally. This includes managing
vendor relationships, negotiating, and ensuring partner
performance.
- Mutually benefiting relationships will drive shared success. It
also ensures fair pricing and maintains our expected performance
standards.
- Advanced expertise with leading enterprise systems and
technology. Comfort in both big-picture strategic thinking as well
as highly detailed technical analysis. Balance optimizing our main
systems with integrating new systems of differentiation and
innovation for the best outcome.
- Dual expertise to manage all business complexities. Being able
to operate at multiple levels, provide good guidance across levels,
and to inspire across.
- Balanced main "systems of record" (i.e., ERP, HRIS, CRM, etc.)
intact, optimized, and empowered users with capabilities to drive
business growth, while enabling new "systems of differentiation and
innovation" (i.e., Channel Management, Pricing Systems, Supply
Chain, Production Execution, Factory Automation, Mobile Apps,
Social Media, etc.) to emerge as integrated parts of the enterprise
operations. Required Qualifications:
- Experience with consumer products, food, and/or packaged goods
industries, that experienced significant growth and
transformational change.
- Experienced leader in both enterprise business/operational
systems and technology.
- Demonstrated ability to set direction for an IT function,
influence strategy with companywide impact, and has led through
change
- Ability to combine industry leading solutions with internal
tools to create and optimize solutions that meet E.A Sween and
customer needs.
- Ability to balance and optimize the company's main "systems of
record" (i.e., ERP, HRIS, CRM, etc.) while enabling new "systems of
differentiation and innovation" for the best outcome.
- Possesses digital technologies, e-commerce, and media
experience.
- Leader who operates through an advanced portfolio management
system.
- Demonstrated success building, developing, and leading
teams.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required and preferred is
with a technical focus and/or a master's degree.
- 7+ years' experience in a change environment with manufacturing
and a high growth environment at scale.
- 3+ years of experience interacting with executive teams and/or
boards of directors and pairs outstanding communication and
interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency with various information systems and Microsoft
Office Suite. Oracle's JD Edwards preferred. Competencies:
