  • Design, develop, and modify highly specialized Medicare & Retirement call center PEGA applications to drive Optum user efficiency and overall business success
  • Ensure these PEGA based applications meet Optum's demanding standards for privacy and security as required by strict internal policies and industry-specific regulations;
  • Create efficient, high performance enhancements to these proprietary Optum applications, enhancements that address and achieve specific Optum business and stakeholder goals
  • Collaborate with Optum Product Owners and Enterprise Solution Architects and DevOps Leads to build, extend, and enhance applications that accelerate efficiency and innovation across the organization
  • Provide post deployment support and to quickly respond to and resolve unexpected service interruptions in production within 1 hour SLA restoration commitment to application's Vital Business FunctionsDrive -and promote -OOTB solutioning rather than custom code
  • Participate -in feature level grooming and solution
  • Work with delivery teams to build product capabilities and low-code applications that are performant, scalable, and resilient
  • POC/foundational work (hands on development) and analysis on new features and requirements to determine feasibility and vetting of solution options
  • Participate -in solution sessions based on requirements and estimation requests
  • Bring -Best Practices for performance tuning of Pega systems to the M&R Maestro delivery teamsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
    • Under-graduate degree in engineering or computer science
    • 4+ years of experience of hands-on development with PEGA versions 7.x or 8.x
    • Pega certified -as either a Senior System Architect (CSSA) or Lead System Architect (CLSA)
    • Web service integration experience (SOAP/REST)Preferred Qualifications:
      • Experience leveraging PEGA provided Performance tools such as:
        • Performance Analyzer (PAL)
        • Database Trace
        • Tracer
        • Performance Profiler
        • Log viewer
        • PEGA Autonomic Event Services (AES) or Predictive Diagnostic Cloud (PDC)
