Director of Human Resources - -Position Purpose:

We are seeking a Director of Human Resources to join our leadership
team. This position will be a hands-on people leader to support the
execution of our strategic roadmap as we scale for growth. As the
Director of Human Resources, you will work in partnership with
field operations and key corporate stakeholders to support our
multi-state operations to effectively deliver programs or policies
to support our ability to be an employer of choice. This role will
report to the Chief People Officer and will plan, lead, direct,
develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the
Human Resource department, ensuring legal compliance and a culture
living our purpose, vision, and guiding principles.
Primary Responsibilities: -
- Leads the HR team to effectively build strategic partnerships
with field operations, corporate team members, and the Executive
Leadership Team to drive company culture and performance.
- Administers or oversees the administration of human resource
programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits,
leave of absence, employee relations matters, performance
management, recognition, retention efforts, and occupational health
and safety.
- Partner with the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) to
prioritize and execute key initiatives in support of strategic
operational targets.
- Demonstrates a growth mindset that understands the
organization's goals and strategies and can effectively translate
this direction into strategic and operational people
practices.
- Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies,
processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the
organizations human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Hands on leader that either directly or through their team
works to implement and improve programs, systems, and/or
policies.
- Monitors and ensures the organizations compliance with federal,
state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends
improvements to best practices.
- Reviews and recommends modifications to policies and/or
practices to maintain compliance and support a strong culture.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory
changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent
management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to
communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper
management.
- Supports new school development and openings with our continued
expansion.
- Establishes team goals that support our ability to bring in or
develop great talent, foster an environment of belonging, and
reduce turnover.
- Builds new tactics and programs to support our ability to
onboard and measure the success of new and/or growing talent. -
-Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or
related field, or the equivalent amount of training and hands-on
experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the
position
- 7+ years of leadership experience in human resource, talent
acquisition, retail, wellness, or other related industry in an
organization that employs a large part-time employee staffing
model
- Experience in supporting multi-state and multi-unit operations
or demonstrated knowledge of how to manage talent acquisition
strategies across multiple states
- Experience with an HRBP business model
- Demonstrated ability to understand business operational
strategies and apply them to decision making

- Strong business acumen and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, must
have strong project management skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet
deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
- Ability to function at a strategic level and to execute in a
hands-on fashion as part of a growing organization.
- Proven ability to translate company priorities into actionable
HR items.
- Demonstrated experience articulating a vision, translating it
into executable strategy and driving cross-functional teams to
deliver against the plan in a positive manner.
- Business acumen and analytical thought leader; ability to
effectively utilize data to drive action.
- Ability to be flexible and handle multiple projects in an
organized, timely manner.
- Demonstrated courage and integrity; ability to build trust and
rapport with all levels of the organization.
Working Conditions (if applicable):
- Travel as required by business needs (up to 20%).
FOSS team members typically work a hybrid schedule of three days in
the office and two days working remote. Workdays and hours could
fluctuate based on business needs or work deliverables.
