Job Description:

C.H. Robinson will lead the North American Surface Transportation (NAST) HR business partner team, support the President of NAST and his leadership team by collaborating with the HR Centers of Expertise (COEs) to develop and execute talent practices that align with the strategic direction of the organization. In this critical position, you will lead a team of HR Business Partners who provide consulting on organizational effectiveness, talent management, and change agility. As C.H. Robinson continues to grow and remain the top third- party logistics company in the world, the ideal candidate must have proven success as a trusted influential advisor to senior leaders; thrive in a fast- paced and rapidly changing environment and possess a solid understanding of various HR functions. This role reports to a Vice President of Human Resources and is located at the Corporate Headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Responsibilities Influential Consultant: * Build relationships with senior business leaders to establish credibility as a trusted advisor to influence, support key strategic decisions and proactively recommend solutions that directly impact business results. * Optimize transformational change efforts by providing consulting support, guidance and a framework for leading and managing organizational change that impact the network of NAST offices across North America. * Work with business leaders to ensure succession planning, career development and performance management strategies and action plans align with organizational goals. * Increase the buy-in and capabilities of NAST leadership to apply talent management practices to build bench strength and ensure a ready pipeline of successors. * Work with COE leaders to develop and deliver solutions to improve employee engagement and business results across the NAST network of offices. * Consult on communication needs tied to changes in strategy, structure, leadership or projects. * Serve as executive coach providing guidance and consultation to NAST leadership. Leadership * Serve as a key member of the Divisional HR Business Partner Team and a key advisor to the President of NAST. * Collaborate with the VPHR, and other members of the Human Resources COEs to manage and execute departmental and organizational initiatives. * Provide effective leadership to the HR business partner team by organizing the team, setting priorities, ensuring execution of service delivery model. * Cultivate a high performing HR business partner team by building skills through coaching, mentoring and ongoing training and development. * Select, develop, and evaluate team members to ensure effectiveness and alignment with current and future goals and initiatives. * Drive a culture that facilitates employee success which includes a positive work environment, employee engagement and a focus on diversity and inclusion initiatives. * Manage and drive budget requirements by ensuring business goals are met with greatest efficiency. * Foster teamwork and collaboration to contribute to our One HR culture, with mutual accountability and respect within the HR team. Required_Qualifications * Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience * Minimum of 8 years progressive Human Resources experience * Minimum 5 years people management experience; proven success developing talent * Ability to travel up to 20% Preferred_Qualifications * SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification. * Experience in a decentralized, multi-site, global organization. * Proven consultative, coaching and influencing skills. * Previous experience managing people. * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across varied stakeholder audiences, including senior leaders. * Excellent written and oral communication skills with demonstrated success presenting to senior leaders * Recognized organizational skills and ability to manage competing, high priority demands during times of organizational change. * Strong strategic orientation, critical thinking skills, and ability to evaluate broad impacts of work. * Proven ability to succeed with minimal guidance, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and take initiative under ambiguous circumstances. * Comfortable working in a high volume, fast-paced, rapidly changing, results-oriented work environment * Experience working collaboratively to facilitate the delivery of HR support and service Benefits We are proud to offer a top-tier benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, prescription drug coverage, paid parental leave, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO), 401K with company match, employee stock purchase plan, as well as a broad range of career development opportunities.
