Job Description:
The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at
the University of Minnesota is seeking a board certified/eligible
Gastroenterologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank on
an academic or master clinician track. The Division is expanding
its Luminal GI section due to significant growth throughout the M
Health Fairview system located in Minneapolis, MN and its
surrounding suburbs. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to
become an integral team member within an academic division that is
dedicated to ground breaking and patient-centered care. The
position is clinically focused with the opportunity to teach,
conduct research, develop clinical programs, and participate in
other academic activities. Position Highlights: - Join a growing
division with physicians, advance practice providers and
dietitians. We are leaders in pancreaticobiliary disease,
transplant hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, esophageal
disorders and the microbiota. - Work with a dynamic and collegial
team of Gastroenterologists many of which are named as a Top Doctor
by Minnesota Monthly. - Nice variety and mix of inpatient,
outpatient/virtual, and procedures. - Demand for complex GI
patients is high, and we would provide an interesting practice with
variety and a large internal referral base. - Practice within a
team-based healthcare delivery model that incorporates allied
health professionals in GI Health Psychology and Nutrition. - As a
large academic practice, we work closely with our colleagues in
surgery, radiology, and pathology, as well other medical
specialties. - Opportunity to develop a specialized program of
interest, leadership and autonomy. - Call is 1:10 and shared
equally within the Gastroenterology Division. - State-of-the-art

with top specialists. About the Division: The Gastroenterology
Division’s Luminal GI Section hosts growing clinical and research
programs in IBD, esophageal disorders, complex polypectomy, use of
AI in endoscopy and functional GI diseases. The transplant
hepatology section hosts one of the longest standing liver
transplant programs in the United States. The Division is also home
to a nationally-recognized Advanced Endoscopy Section for the
development and management of ERCP, EUS, and management of complex
pancreas/biliary disorders. The Division continues to maintain the
highest ambitions for excellence in all three of its major
missions: patient services, teaching, and research. Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and
Gastroenterology fellowship training program. - Board
eligible/certified with the ABIM in internal medicine and
gastroenterology. - Licensed or ability to acquire medical license
and DEA in the State of Minnesota, and meet threshold
criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges. - Ability
to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status
according to the requirements of the VISA. This role is dually

is dually employed by University of Minnesota Physicians and the
University of Minnesota. Total salary is market competitive and
based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Clinical salary, aligned with
clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians. The base salary
range for the clinical effort of this position is $300,917 -
$523.580 commensurate with experience and qualifications.? The
additional salary from the University is dependent upon the
academic effort of the person hired. M Physicians provides the
