Job Description:
The Allina Health Cancer Institute in Minneapolis is seeking a
Thoracic Medical Oncologist to join a mission-driven organization
committed to delivering innovative, high-quality, patient-centered
cancer care. This position offers a primary focus on thoracic
oncology, with flexibility to care for additional solid tumor
populations based on physician interest and program needs. Allina

academic-level medicine with community-based practice. Team of 100
oncology specialists, including medical, radiation, and surgical
oncologists 18 comprehensive cancer care locations across Minnesota
and western Wisconsin Excellent multidisciplinary approach to
treatments with multi-disciplinary tumor boards, including
thoracic-specific tumor boards Our own multi-center research
program with the ability for investigator-initiated,
industry-sponsored, and cooperative group clinical trials (Phase
1-3) In-house genomic laboratory supporting personalized cancer
treatment Industry-leading integrative oncology and high-risk
cancer surveillance programs The use of artificial intelligence
tools for documentation, charting, and supporting cancer diagnosis
and treatment. Accredited by ACS, CoC, NAPBC, and APEx Practice
Highlights: Full-time Thoracic Medical Oncology position with
inpatient and outpatient responsibilities Primary practice location
at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, serving as a metro hub Established
team of 9 oncologists and 9 advanced practice providers Thoracic
surgeons and radiation oncologists co-located in the same clinic.
Whole patient centered care with a variety of services, including
nurse navigation, social work, mental health services, patient
financial navigators, palliative care, and integrative medicine
Opportunities for education and teaching with internal medicine
residents through didactic and clinical experiences Job
Requirements: MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required.
Graduate of an accredited ACGME Hematology/Oncology fellowship
training program required. BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required. Active,
non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain) Ability
to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National
Provider Identifier (NPI) Ability to meet criteria/qualifications
