Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/31/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Unit Details:/n/nBeds: 32 (Avg. census: 17.5)/n/nRatios: MS 5:1 | ICU 1:1–1:3 (Step-down type) | IMC 1:2–1:4/n/nRequirements:/n/nCertifications: BLS, ACLS/n/nCommon Cases: COPD, Pneumonia, AFib RVR, DKA, CIWA, Cardio patients/n/nSkills: IV starts, phlebotomy, EKG, telemetry monitoring, cardioversion, critical thinking, teamwork, time management/n/nDrips:/n/nRNs titrate drips including pressors, insulin, anticoagulants, epinephrine, norepinephrine, vasopressin, angiotensin-II/n/nUnit Info:/n/nRNs read their own tele strips/n/nCharge nurse house supervisor (charge takes assignment)/n/n2 nurse aides per shift/n/nRT coverage 22 hrs/day (CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow, vents)/n/nSchedule:/n/nShift: 0500–1730 or 1700–0530 (30-min break)/n/nNo block or self-scheduling/n/nFlex weekend & holiday/n/nOther:/n/nPossible float to ED as support during codes/trauma/n/nScrubs: Navy blue (no hoodies)/n/nOrientation: 1 day/n/nImportant:/n/nLocal = within 80 miles/n/nMust mention if clinician worked at Marshfield before (needs 6-month gap).
