Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Spooner, Wisconsin,

Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Positive attitudes
only Description: Department: Medical Surgical Nurse to patient
ratios are 1:4, sometimes 1:5, rarely 1:6. Common diagnoses include
pneumonia, CHF, COPD, swing bed patients, weakness, cellulitis,
COVID-19, and general surgical cases. Occasionally, RNs are
required to titrate drips, commonly Heparin and Cardizem. There is
an RN to read telemetry/monitoring on this unit. A Charge Nurse is
present during the day to take patients and full assignments, while
a house supervisor is available on nights. Nurse aides are
available from 7 AM to 11:30 PM. An overnight CNA is present, along
with additional CNAs for daytime shifts to assist with answering
lights, ADL cares, and basic patient care. Respiratory therapy
equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and self-rescue options.
Scheduling does not allow for self-scheduling. The facility strives
to maintain block schedules, but FMLA, staff shortages, and
vacations may affect scheduling. Every third weekend is required,
with occasional alternating weekends. Holiday requirements are
every third holiday. There are no call or standby requirements for
travelers. Staff may need to float to assist in the ED, but are not
expected to take full assignments. Professional scrub colors are
acceptable. Staff receives a 12-hour orientation with a combination
of floor and education time, along with a buddy system on the first
day. A radius rule of 50 miles applies for candidates. Cancellation
policy allows for one shift per week without penalty. The charting
system used is EPIC. BSN is not required. Trauma level is
classified as CAH. Care setting is acute. 5 Benefits of Travel
