Better Future.Purpose:-- The Director of Responsible Procurement
will lead UNFI's upstream sustainability initiatives, serving as
the Company's lead expert on topics including climate change,
deforestation, regenerative agriculture, human rights, and animal
welfare. The Director will be responsible for driving progress
toward our 2030 Better for All goals relating to value chain
emissions reduction and regenerative agriculture. The Director will
lead the work of fostering a values-based supply chain and
integrating a sustainability mindset across our supplier-facing
functions, with the goal of increasing transparency to better serve
our retail customers. The work of the Director will be highly
collaborative and performed in close partnership with the VP, ESG &
Social Impact.Job Responsibilities:Stakeholder Engagement
(25%)-------------- Proactively engage with stakeholders on
responsible procurement topics, including customers, suppliers,
investors, and associates. -------------- Forge and maintain
strategic partnerships with NGOs. -------------- Represent UNFI and
provide thought leadership through participation in industry events
and speaking opportunities on responsible procurement
topics.Program Development & Execution (25%)-------------- Lead in
the development and execution of programming that delivers
meaningful progress toward UNFI's responsible procurement goals,
while enhancing brand value.-- -------------- Partner closely with
supplier-facing teams to embed responsible procurement practices,
align incentives and develop a framework for assessing supplier
sustainability.-- -------------- Serve as the primary lead for the
UNFI Climate Action Partnership and Hub programming-including
educational seminars, roundtable discussions and events-in
partnership with the Climate Collaborative. -------------- Identify
opportunities for strategic investments and partnerships to advance
UNFI's ESG goals.Policy Implementation (25%)--------------
Develop/update responsible procurement policies as needed, in
keeping with stakeholder expectations.-- -------------- Partner
with supplier-facing teams, including the owned brands division, to
ensure progress toward our commitments on Deforestation and Animal
Welfare.-- -------------- Lead ongoing research to monitor emerging
responsible procurement issues and provide expert guidance to the
UNFI leadership team.Responsible Procurement Strategy
(15%)-------------- Develop and execute a robust, inspiring,
long-term vision for responsible procurement at UNFI, in close
partnership with business leaders and outside experts.-- Reporting
(10%)-------------- Provide regular reports on strategy and
progress toward goals to company leadership.Job
Requirements:Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of
education training and experience: -------------- Bachelor's degree
in a related field required. -------------- Advanced degree in a
related field strongly preferred -------------- 7-10 years'
experience in procurement, sustainability, or a related field--All

Compensation
Pay Range: $100200.00 - $193400.00 Annually ($48.17 - $92.98
Hourly)
Other Compensation: Long Term Incentive and Bonus Eligible
Compensation:UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate
(or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position.
Actual Pay, where applicable, will depend on a number of factors,
including, but not limited to, education, experience, training, and
any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.

After the introductory period, as a 100% commission-based role,
there is no set salary. UNFI s commission plans are uncapped and
average earnings vary depending on territory and sales achieved,
among other factors.UNFI s compensation, benefits, and paid time
off policies are subject to change in the Company s sole
discretion, consistent with applicable law. This job posting should
