Our team provides data solutions to support member communication
across OptumRx. We have many customers we serve from product teams,
clients, and consumers. There are plenty of opportunities to learn
tools and the data to support business initiatives. It could be
producing a new SQL query, procedure or leveraging new or existing
tools to create innovative solutions. We work collaboratively
across the aisles to ensure data is available and usable to ensure
the member receives the right message, at the right time with the
right information.
As a Data Management Consultant, you will work with the data
operations team to create automation for data processes primarily
in SQL with SQL Server Management Studio, Azure and Microsoft ETL
tools. This position supports the Optum Consumer Engagement
Platform which is a complex data ecosystem utilized for
communications, analysis, and research. You will collaborate with
other departments to integrate new data sources. You will have an
active understanding of various marketing performance metrics (ROI,
Conversion, Attribution, etc.) to effectively translate business
requirements into data solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and update SQL/ETL automation solutions, with focus on data
transformations and rigorous data QC/audit functions
Solid knowledge integrating data from various internal and external
sources, including cloud-based environments, to provide information
and insights that support communication strategies. Examples
include digital data transformations and clinical data
interpretation and mapping
Create data processes that support driving consumer communications
including evaluating current workstreams for opportunities to build
efficiencies. Define and resolve gaps in data and data-related
workflows
Technical documentation for new and updated processes
Load, transformation, cleanse, and analysis on data sets sourced
from various sources, including other databases, applications and
flat files
Comfortable making recommendations for improvements, fine-tuning
and optimizing data processes
Provide mentoring and guidance to other data management consultants
in the use of new toolsets

Qualifications:
5+ years of SQL, database management and familiarity with other
programming languages and tools
2+ years of experience working in data/file management and data
integrity
Experience with enterprise-level databases, data warehouses,
relational database structures and big data
Proficiency with Microsoft Office365, including PowerPoint, Excel,
Word, SharePoint, OneNote, Teams, Outlook advanced tools, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Experience with enterprise-level and multi - system data
analysis
Experience interfacing with development and business teams
Project management and process improvement experience
Experience with SSIS
Healthcare industry experience
