customers. Leveraging our market leading data asset, we help turn
data into action. As part of the Optum Life Sciences Product team,
the Managing Director of Product will be responsible for developing
and managing the product strategy and roadmap for new platforms,
tools, and services. In this role, you will be responsible for
building on existing solutions and developing new solutions for
life sciences customers that drive improved market access and
robust patient services, including products that drive a shift to
value-based frameworks and better targeting of the "right person,
right time, and right therapeutic." You will identify top areas of
opportunity for Life Sciences clients based on market trends and
the competitive landscape. You will then apply strategic lenses to
vet and prioritize opportunities. For targeted new product
opportunities, you will lead the work to develop the product
concepts working with a cross-functional team including Finance,
Operations, Technology, Marketing, and Sales. This work entails
designing and building scalable products with robust economic
models and clearly defined requirements. Finally, you will lead
efforts to pilot new products and features in market to ensure they
deliver the intended value to customers. You'll enjoy the
flexibility to work remotely* from anywhere within the U.S. as you
take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the product lead for new market access and patient
access solutions, including all functional aspects of concept
development, in concert with subject matter experts
- Develop and direct product vision and roadmaps
- Navigate through technical requirements while simultaneously
distilling and communicating complex subject matter to all
stakeholders
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop requirements,
prioritize features, and translate to the roadmap while seeking to
understand the voice of the customer
- Build investment case for new businesses/opportunities to
secure funding
- Manage business financial projections and capital budgeting
efforts
- Oversee market analysis, including market testing and
competitive landscape
- Support the development of marketing and sales strategies and
value proposition
- Ensure that business, products, and capabilities meet
established short and long-range goals
- Recruit client innovation partners and support sales and
delivery of early solution pilots
- Inform partnerships and M&A strategies and activities
- Think strategically, and creatively, about how the life science
experience should work-translating a vision to processes and
requirements
- Navigate and influence multiple cross-functional teams in a
complex, matrix work environment You'll be rewarded and recognized

interested in. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ years of experience working in life sciences strategy and/or
product
- Experience successfully navigating cross-functional teams
- Client and executive presentation experience
- Experience working with clients in a consultative role --
comfort engaging senior level people in back-and-forth conversation
and ability to develop strong relationships through each
interaction
- Experience with solution-focused problem solving and thinking
through problems creatively
- Demonstrates excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal
communication skills
- Demonstrates solid critical thinking skills to arrive at
solutions
- Demonstrated ability to adapt but be persistent in achieving
desired outcomes
- Proven ability to effectively deal with ambiguity - can
effectively cope with change, can shift gears comfortably, can
decide and act without having the total picture
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
in a positive and supportive manner
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and influence

- Proven ability to manage projects simultaneously and achieve

- Travel is minimal, but may be up to 25% as needed Preferred
Qualifications:
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Experience building or working with analytics-driven patient
services solutions, such as medication adherence products
- Knowledge of life sciences pricing and market access
- Healthcare / life sciences strategy consulting or

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island
or Washington residents is $118,000 to $226,800. Pay is based on
several factors including but not limited to education, work
experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary,
