Economics Director in the Product Analytics organization, you will
help lead data-driven studies to tell the story of how Optum
Complex Condition products are making a difference. Your role will
include developing study methods, analyzing complex data with
statistical and visual techniques, building predictive models, and
interpreting and presenting findings. You'll work closely with
business leaders and other researchers to develop innovative
analytic solutions to help Optum fulfill its mission. You'll enjoy
the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as
you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:Join a
team of health economists and data analysts to measure performance
and drive enhancements of complex condition programsUse advanced
statistical models to develop rigorous and defensible models for
estimating economic and clinical impact of Specialty Fusion
programPartner with other Optum analytics teams to inform the
application of savings model to external customer dataDevelop and
maintain analyses of trend tied to various savings levers for the
UHC population Identify and measure new value levers, assessing
savings potential of new levers and synergies across the
solutionProvide guidance and develop approach to client contracting
around shared savings Collaborate with Specialty Fusion product
leaders to deliver actionable analytics to drive continuous program
improvementPartner with Optum reporting teams to develop ongoing
cost and utilization metrics relating to program performanceWork
closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, explain
methods, and interpret findingsManage multiple priorities, work
independently, and meet non-negotiable deadlinesAnticipate customer
needs and proactively develop solutions to meet them You'll be

you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:Master's Degree
or higher in Statistics, Public Health, Health Services Research,
Social Sciences or related field 5+ years of experience in health
care analytics and working with large medical and pharmacy claims
data setsExperience/proficiency with statistical techniques such as
logistic regression, predictive models, multivariate analysis, and
linear modelsAdvanced proficiency with SAS programming and
background in Python programmingProven success driving results
through a highly matrixed, often ambiguous environment; experience
working with operational areas as well as corporate functional
areas (Finance, IT)Excellent verbal and written communication,
time/project management, problem solving, organizational, and

is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada
residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
