challenges.Primary Responsibilities:
- Technical Implementation Director serves as the overall lead
for architecture, design, development, testing, configuration
management, system integration, data conversion for the client
project
- This role requires deep understanding of the solution, ability
to drive discussions and/or working sessions and ensuring positive
outcomes
- As the lead technical architect responsible for resolving
complex technology issues and providing strategic direction
- As part of the implementation leadership team, provide concise
and accurate insight into the state of technical implementation of
the project to senior and executive leadership
- Assess potential implementation risks and devise effective
mitigation strategies
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationship with internal
and client stakeholders, partners and vendors
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and
quality standards throughout the implementation process
- Manage and motivate a team of technical implementation
specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and training as
needed
- Contribute to implementation playbook consisting of tools,
templates and methodologies to ensure consistency and
predictability across implementations
- Lead conversion workstream for multiple engagements to produce
successful outcomes
- Partner closely with client stakeholders to define objectives,
scope and requirements for data conversion
- Collaborate with internal teams (PMO, Business Analysts,
Developers, QA, Product SMEs etc.,) to understand application and
data nuances for designing efficient process for conversion
mapping, development and testing
- Identify and alert project leadership to project risks and
issues which could impact adherence to project timelines and
budget
- Interface directly with State Government Solutions clients with
clear communication and to manage expectations and receive
approvals of mapping documents and test results
- Keep executive leadership informed of progress on all
conversion workstream projects
- As the leader of the conversion team, consisting of data
analysts, data engineers and QA resources, responsible for setting
clear direction for the team, mentoring and nurturing the team
while attracting the best talent to join the team
- Contribute to RFP/RFI efforts by providing clear, concise and
appropriate responses
- Participate in Orals to communicate conversion methodology and
processes in the context of the RFP
- Develop standard data conversion processes, tools, templates
and methodologies to ensure consistency and predictability across
implementations
- Lead team to develop efficient and effective data conversion
processes from legacy systems to Optum product data structures
- Continually enhance deliverable and work product

Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience with all aspects of implementations:
Design, Development, Testing, Integration and Conversion
- 10+ years of experience leading large scale technology
implementations
- 10+ years of experience in leadership roles, with the ability
to motivate and manage teams to deliver high quality results
- Knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best
practices in the Healthcare or Medicaid space
- Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to quickly identify issues and implement effective
solutions
- Proven excellent communication skills to effectively convey
technical information to both technical and non-technical
stakeholders
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed based on project timeline
/ deliverablesPreferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management,
Information Systems, Computer Science, related field or equivalent
work experience
- Experience with General Dynamics provider system data

Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado,
Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents
is $118,000 to $226,800. Pay is based on several factors including
but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
