Job Description:
Do you have skills in indirect procurement leadership with
knowledge of accounts payable practices as well? We have an
opportunity for a Director of Indirect Procurement that will be
responsible for executing on a strategic plan for indirect
procurement across a $350M spend. In this role you will provide
strategic and tactical leadership in executing organizational
procurement and accounts payable policies, and overall optimization
of indirect procurement spend. You will manage a team to support
these efforts, leading all sourcing efforts to achieve scalability
and growth. Organizational objectives broadly include execution and
expansion RFPs, realization of cost savings goals, partnering with
stakeholder teams to drive contract and supplier due diligence, and
managing procurement systems and processes.As the Director of
Indirect Procurement you will also lead the indirect accounts
payable team, with responsibility to drive efficiencies in invoice
and T&E processing while ensuring compliance with relevant
policies and SOPs.Responsibilities:
- Drives efficiencies and compliance with procurement and
accounts payable processes
- Drives process improvements and optimizations across
procurement and accounts payment to maintain efficiencies and
optimal use of resources
- Manages Accounts Payable process to ensure appropriate
deliverables of AP activities in compliance with regulatory
requirements and controls
- Collaborates across departments and contributes as a leader
with executives
- Influences key stakeholders on all aspects of supplier
management to encourage innovative practices, mitigate risk,
resolves complex issues, and supports the realization of
cost-savings goals
- Partners with business leaders to delivery business specific
sourcing strategies that lower total cost of ownership and drive
business value
- Partners with legal and other stakeholder teams to drive
contract playbook and negotiation strategies to obtain optimal
contract terms including technical requirements, pricing, terms and
conditions, and delivery, for the best possible position based on
market knowledge relevant to category and strategy
- Maintains and enhances dashboard and reporting on company
supplier and T&E spend to provide valuable data to business
leaders
- Encourages employee feedback through formal and informal
channels. Acknowledges and takes action on feedback to drive a
trusting culture of open two-way communication, inclusivity and
continuous improvement
- Manages annual merit and equity programs for assigned team to
align compensation with performance results
- Manages and drives budget requirements by ensuring business
goals are met with greatest efficiency
- Achieves optimal cost, service, and quality outcomes in the
goods and services required to achieve company goals
- Oversees the measurement and communication of spend, savings,
operational efficiency, and other procurement and accounts payable
related benchmarks, while communicating expectations for
deliverables and timing to enable the company to achieve overall
operational excellence
- Leads a comprehensive supplier management process including
evaluation, selection, and relationship management of suppliers,
along with KPIs to effectively measure performance
- Manages company's Travel & Entertainment program including
strategy management and day to day support
- Commits to teams' long-term personal and professional growth
and takes accountability for seeing them grow and advance
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the
team requirementsRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in Sourcing and
Procurement
- Minimum 4 years of leading and managing teams
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable practicesPreferred
Qualifications:
- Experience with Procure to Pay software tools, including Coupa
and Oracle Accounts Payable
- Effective and flexible communication skills, including
experience dealing with executives
- Innovative thinking and leadership influence through highly
engaging and energizing competency
- Strong ability to partner, consult and influence multiple
stakeholder groups
- Results-oriented, metrics-driven leader with expertise in
purchasing, supplier collaboration, development, and
compliance
- Ability to effectively implement changes in a large, global
organization
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent planning and project management skills
- Ability to motivate and encourage change, able to get positive
results in a very large, dispersed organization
