Associate Compliance Director is responsible for supporting all
aspects of the compliance program with focus on clinical
operational compliance in brick-and-mortar clinic operations,
behavioral care delivery, practice health and safety, and
investigations home health and hospice, and care in the home. As a
key member of the Compliance team, this position provides
compliance leadership and oversight within assigned businesses
across Optum health and serves as a first point of contact for
employees on clinical compliance matters. You'll enjoy the
flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you
take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:
- Partner with national teams and business leaders to oversee
compliance program implementation and effectiveness
- Develop business profile and work plans and ensuring timely
completion of key milestones
- Develop program scope documents and project plans, and
reporting tools including KPI dashboards and scorecards
- Work cross-functionally and across multiple teams and leaders
to accelerate implementation of strategic clinical quality and
patient safety priorities and clinical model transformation in
alignment with business strategies
- Develop/maintain regulatory and operational knowledge for
assigned businesses
- Provide subject matter expertise and support for key regulatory
implementation initiatives
- Participate in annual compliance risk assessment and support
remediation as necessary. Risk assessment will include validation
of standards, accountabilities and outcomes
- Deliver targeted compliance training and communications as
necessary
- Provide subject matter expertise for compliance investigations,
assessments, audits and reviews
- Manage compliance committees (where required) and deliver
periodic compliance reports to leadership
- Oversee remediation and corrective action plans resulting from
audits, investigations, compliance reviews, and self-identified
issues
- Assist with high-risk implementations
- Interface with regulators as needed
- Conduct compliance reviews of marketing materials, regulated
documents and other external materials as required
- Conduct acquisition due diligence and manage compliance
integration of acquired entities
- Ensure Vendor/Delegate Standards and Oversight support in
alignment with Compliance Program Administration team
- Provide Subject Matter expertise for clinical compliance
operations within the provider care delivery environment
- Align coding, documentation and billing processes with the
Optum Coding Compliance Program and standards You'll be rewarded

you may be interested in. Required Qualifications:
- Unencumbered, active Registered Nurse license in the state of
residence
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience leading and implementing a
comprehensive clinical practice Compliance Program, based on the
seven elements
- Ability to travel to business locations 25% - 50% Preferred
Qualifications:
- Professional certification in compliance
- Experience in developing and validating Compliance in clinic
and physician practice environments
- Solid foundation in evidence-based medicine, clinical guideline
development and management, utilization management, and population
health
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and influence in a large,
matrixed organization
- Self-starter with proven ability to drive cross-functional
teams to deliver operational compliance
- Proven ability to think strategically and to translate
strategic directives into tactical initiatives
- Adept at understanding complex concepts and situations
presented in the business environment
- Proven ability to assess complex problems and recommend the
appropriate compliance solutions
- Objective, collaborative approach. Ability to adapt in a
dynamic and high-growth environment
- Exceptional written, verbal, analytical, organizational,

or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for California,
Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, Washington or New York City
residents is $101,200 to $184,000. Pay is based on several factors
including but not limited to education, work experience,
certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group
