A Health Care Advisor helps members navigate the health care system; including helping with claim and benefits questions, helping members find quality doctors and schedule appointments; connecting consumers with health and wellness resources; and coaching members to make better health choices by providing education. A Health Care Advisor creates an ongoing and lasting impression of the Optum consumer experience.OHCA Primary Responsibilities:Manages and is accountable for professional employees and / or supervisorsSets team direction, resolves problems and provides guidance to members of own teamAdapts departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challengesInfluences or provides input to forecasting and planning activitiesMonitors, manages and controls operational and performance metrics in conjunction with established program value targetsDevelops solutions to address new, often complex customer requirements that address operational, clinical and customer needsEnsures audits are conducted, standards are met, successful outcome are achievedReviews operational and performance metrics regularly and drives action plan development and executionEnsures site remains compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirementsCollaborates across Optum and UHG including Medical, Site Directors, senior leaders, sales, account management, product organization, and other stakeholdersYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested inRequired -Qualifications:Bachelor's degree (or higher) and background in the health care industry or related business5+ years previous supervisory or management experience (including performance management functions i.e., hiring, performance evaluations, corrective action plans, etc.)Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint (create, copy, data entry, sorting/filtering)Must live within a commutable distance of Eden Prairie, MN to work onsite 2-3 days per week.Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
