Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm) -The Vice President of Specialty Customer Service & Front End Pharmacy Operations is responsible for specialty care coordination and front end pharmacy operations for the OptumRx Home Delivery business. This will include direct leadership of specialty pharmacy operations and teams. -This role will lead an organization that combines the Specialty Customer Service Patient Care Coordinators and Specialty Front End teams within Operations into one organization. It will create more seamless ownership and accountability for the end-to-end patient, provider, and payer experience. Our goal is to enhance the patient onboarding and specific therapy experiences, accelerate our NPS (Net Promoter Score) progress, and advance our efforts to obtain more limited distribution drug access.   • Work closely with SVP Pharmacy Operations and the Specialty business leader in setting operational, experience, and financial objectives for pharmacy operations - defined by existing and evolving operational and growth plans
  • Partner with broader OptumRx teams to understand and correct end-to-end pharmacy/member processes/issues and enhance overall experience and capabilities
  • Deliver on business goals identified to achieve the growth strategy, member retention and efficiency goals
  • Conduct regular business reviews to monitor performance, progress, and achievement of business and financial objectives
  • Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements and quality standards are achieved through regular process reviews and accountability mechanisms
  • Foster a team environment that sets high standards of operations and performance, engages and inspires others to perform at their best, rigorously identifies and develops key individuals with the critical capabilities needed by the organization
  • Lead, model, and influence behaviors that support UHG 's cultural values, employee engagement/experience, teamwork and collaboration, diversity and inclusion
  • Partner with Human Capital on staffing, talent development and succession planning, employee relations, and performance management
  • Represent Customer Service and Front End Pharmacy Operations on client-facing and member issues
  • Assist in determining sequencing and roll-out of process/policy changes, technology implementations and enhancements. Lead the adoption and utilization of technology solutions/applications
  • Identify and address emerging performance trends through close partnership with other teams
  • Work with leaders to improve operating procedures and practices and ensure standardization of improved processes
  • Collaborate and actively engage with business partners on large-scale projects, operational changes and implementations - creating and delivering on change management plans -You 'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:
    • 8+ years of leadership experience in large-scale operations and/or pharmacy operations
    • 4+ years of college degree or equivalent
    • People Management experience
    • This role requires either:
      • Specialty pharmacy operations experience or
      • Pharmacist with Specialty medication experience -
      • Proven experience in:
        • Developing strategies and plans
        • Partnering with and influencing a variety of stakeholder groups
        • Proven written and verbal communication skills
        • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time -Strong candidates could also possess, but not required:
          • Master 's Degree
          • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Degree
          • Customer Service or Patient Care experience

The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $169,500 to $322,500.
