Join us and start doing.*your life's best work.(sm)* The Optum Technical Operations organization manages multiple SaaS products in partnership with thousands of health care institutions, provider systems, and payers. This operations organization is tasked with deploying and supporting these technologies quickly, efficiently, at a high level of quality, and to the delight of our customers. The Portfolio Manager plays a critical role, both internally and externally, in support of these goals by creating, deploying and maintaining a best in class operating model across the solution sets for all clients. Optum is seeking a talented and motivated individual to support the Optum Provider Technology Operations organization and serve our clients in the healthcare market. The portfolio manager will manage the success of multiple solutions and division wide initiatives from inception to delivery. The position will have oversight of financial and operational performance including cross team deliverables, action plans and support of P&L forecasting related to operating expenses. The ideal candidate will have successful experience with Health IT systems implementations or support. This position requires a blend of stakeholder management, project management, process and product knowledge, as well as strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. The candidate should enjoy working with a team and collaborating with internal staff in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges..*Primary Responsibilities:* + Leading centralized program management for several Technical Operations initiatives and drive end to end performance across the Solution portfolio + Aligning division wide reporting, build and maintain division wide reports and dashboards, and contribute to streamline operating rhythm + Working closely with teams and colleagues across divisions to ensure alignment, integration and execution of necessary changes to business review, metrics reporting and processes. + Preparing detailed and accurate status reports on an ongoing basis, mitigating delays to the implementation, and escalating issues to the leadership team when appropriate + Relentlessly collaborating across, and communicating with, a myriad of stakeholders while serving with our clients and increasing NPS You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in..*Required Qualifications:* + 5+ years project management and system implementation experience + 5+ years communicating and presenting with internal and external stakeholders + 3+ years of proficiency in Excel - pivot table, vlookup, cell/sheet linkage, formulas without supervision + 3+ years of proficiency in PowerPoint - translate findings into professional presentation for a variety of stakeholders + Experience with implementation or support of analytics SaaS products + Experience mitigating project risk + If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (ie, entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained.*Preferred Qualifications:* + 5+ years of healthcare experience + Project management coursework and certification + Proven ability to independently and successfully apply process improvement methods or innovation with measurable business performance improvement outcomes; such as efficiency or quality + Experience organizing, manipulating, troubleshooting, and analyzing large data sets + Experience understanding and translating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences + Experience owning technical client relationships, including recurring relationships, issue resolution, and escalation management + Experience working in health informatics or within the healthcare industry or prior experience with Clinical, Claim, and/or Hospital Billing Data Types.*Careers with Optum.* Here's the idea.
