And you'll do your life's best work.(sm)This senior leader is responsible to develop and execute an OptumRx business strategy with Pharmacy Benefit Management for HealthTrust/CoreTrust Coalition Client: Health Trust is a very innovating client with strategic growth plans for adding over 300-400K lives per year. This role will lead a diverse and inclusive team responsible for managing client relationships, including client strategy, product innovation. The position will have a headcount of 50+ and be responsible for client retention, growth (new business and upsell) and NPS. This position will report to the Market President of Coalition, Labor and Trust and TPA (SLT).Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategy to drive OptumRx services, build pipeline, enhance close ratios for new and existing business
  • Builds relationships with clients and understand clients' needs and value created by OptumRx solutions
  • Responsible to develop thoughtful account plans and proactively target and pursue cross sell and up sell opportunities
  • Create a strategic client management organization that leverages all assets and relationships within the organization to thoroughly understand each prospect's culture, organizational needs and decision makers and translates that knowledge into highly targeted and effective pipeline creation and sales closure results
  • Partner effectively with multiple internal business stakeholders to design leading edge solutions that meet market need and leverage both existing product and upcoming innovations
  • Keep the organization informed of market needs, product requirements, competitive information, account specific initiatives and other knowledge essential for our business efforts. Push the organization to act to deliver capabilities that enable growth
  • Recognize service issues, raise internal awareness, and facilitate response in partnership with internal stakeholders
  • Maintain a broad understanding of Optum's portfolio of solutions
  • Install a process to ensure Client Executives are educated with the most relevant & current industry knowledge to position themselves are thought leaders with their clients
  • Coach account team to build effective internal/external relationships that enable them to respond quickly to emerging customer opportunities, and provide for seamless execution of the company's business processes that exceed customer expectations
  • Recruit, hire and monitor performance of account team, ensuring appropriate training and development is provided to newly hired employees; provide for ongoing training of staff and ensure strong employee engagement.
  • Make presentations to C-Suite clients and educate prospects on solutions
  • Effectively selects and aligns talent with the capabilities needed to achieve long term goals

    • Bachelor's degree business, health care administration or related field
    • 10+ years of sales, sales management, client management and / or strategy development experience within the healthcare industry
    • 5+ years in a senior management capacity

      • Master's in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or related graduate degree
      • Demonstrated visionary thinking and ability to translate to business strategies that create or sustain competitive advantage
      • Familiarity with all aspects of healthcare strategy and operations
      • Proven ability to analyze complex market opportunities and develop creative solutions to a wide variety of unique market problems
      • Advanced consultative selling skills with the ability to successfully construct solutions
      • Demonstrated track record of active collaboration, engagement, oversight and strategy development of key growth opportunities
      • Excellent presentation skills with the expertise and sophistication needed to credibly represent OptumRx in the context of the company's values and quality commitments
      • Experience in driving deep, productive relationships with C-Suite and senior-level client executives
      • Superior oral and written communication skills and ability to build credibility to gain the respect and confidence of clients and internal partners
      • Self-starter and able to navigate a complex, matrixed organization
