NEW ROLE!Program Director - Customized Living in Affordable HousingProgram Director - Customized Living in Affordable Housing is a new role at Volunteers of America National Services. The Program Director will be responsible for program growth and administrative functions to ensure service viability consistent with Volunteers of America National Services mission, vision and values and compliance with all pertinent laws and regulations. The Program Director will be responsible for fostering the relationship between the clients, the facility and care managers.We are looking for an individual with passion for affordable housing with assisted living services. Our ideal candidate will possesses a working knowledge of Affordable Housing programs and Fair Housing regulations. The Program Director will play an integral role in ensuring the success of the facilities and the well being of our residents.If you have demonstrated experience in providing both traditional and creative solutions to meet the needs of the elderly in assisted living programs we would love the opportunity to review your resume.Essential Functions:Marketing and Program Development1. Develop, implement and evaluate a program marketing plan in accordance with the organization's established format.2. Attain and/or maintain the targeted occupancy and service levels.3. Works with Service Coordinators and Property Managers to identify residents who may benefit and qualify for services.4. Take initiative to actively plan, develop and implement expansion and/or innovation in program services.5. Advocates for and ensures that services meet the needs of residents.6. Generate referrals for CADI/EW by building relationships with case managers, physicians, residents, service coordinators, and community organizations.7. Conducts market analysis, develop sales strategy, goals and plans to grow the EW/CADI program for all three facilities.8. Conducting consumer service calls to all customers and stakeholders for continuous evaluation of services and satisfaction.9. Support business development activities and help establish strong relationships with new and existing referral sources.10. Participates in expos, health fairs, and other marketing venues when requested.11. Oversees service agreements with each client from the point of referral and admission to ongoing annual or as needed updates. Ensure that services are captured in the agreement with the case managers.12. Work with each CADI and EW case managers for each resident and complete 6790 forms and input at admission and on an annual basis. Gather input from nursing staff and relay to case managers to make sure all services are accounted for.13. Gather and track all authorizations for services from DHS including EW and CADI payors and submit to the billing team.14. Provide tours and explanation of services to potential residents, families and referrals.15. Ensure that public information describing the services provided in the facility is accurate and fully descriptive.16. Develop and maintains a mailing list for facility.17. Represent the facility at community events to maintain the visibility of the facility within the local community. Supports and promotes the Volunteers of America branding campaign and fundraising efforts.18. Assist with website maintenance and development.Planning and Organization1. Plans, develops, organizes, implements, directs and evaluates the program services.2. Prepares an annual operating budget and capital replacement plan for approval by the Regional Director.3. Keep abreast of the economic conditions and adjusts as necessary to assure the continued ability to provide quality care and services.4. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current trends and new developments in the Senior Housing/ Assisted Living/Home Care fields.5. Monitor external and internal environment for development of new market segments.6. Assist in preparing feasibility studies and business plans for new program development.7. Implement and oversee client satisfaction survey processes.Administration1. Review and interpret monthly financial statements; prepares variance reports and plans for correction.2. Negotiate contracts for community-based funding programs, in consultation with the Financial Analyst.3. Represent the facility in dealings with outside agencies.4. Act as the facility's spokesperson for media communication in consultation with the Communications Department at the organization's national office.5. Attend and participate in workshops and seminars to keep abreast of changes in the field of aging and housing with services and to maintain professional status.6. Investigate and report incidents of suspected resident neglect/abuse in accordance with established procedures.7. Meets with the three facilities service directors on a bi-monthly basis to discuss strategies, planning procedures and goals.8. Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Regional Director and/or Senior Vice President of Operations concerning the operations of the facility.9. Review and approve all invoices for each program and submit to AP.10. Establish and monitor a system of supply and equipment inventory and control.11.
