CONSTRUCTION PROJECT ENGINEER SANTA ROSA, CA Ground Up Commercial Building Construction General Contractor Opening: Construction Project Engineer Location: Santa Rosa, CA (North Bay Area) Prestigious design-build ground up vertical Commercial Construction General Contractor actively seeks self-motivated and team oriented Construction Project Engineer to join our Santa Rosa, CA office. The ideal Construction Project Engineer will be a 4 year graduate of a Construction Management or Engineering program, that possess strong communication and problem solving skills, and is pursuing a long lasting career in the ground up vertical building construction industry. Construction Project Engineers with past work experience pertaining to large scale commercial, healthcare, or medical office building projects are encouraged to apply. The ideal Construction Project Engineer will be an individual who enjoys working on a team in a fast-paced environment of construction. As a Construction Project Engineer you can expect to work closely with your project teams construction project administrator, construction project manager, and construction superintendent on many of the following responsibilities: Process and Track Construction RFIs, Submittals, and Change Orders Assist with pre-construction activities Assist with Construction Project Manager duties Assist with procurement, including quantity takeoffs and pricing, subcontracts, potential changes in scope of work Construction Project Engineer Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration or equivalent technical training and related experience Minimum of 6 months to 1+ years of construction project engineering level work experience working for a ground up construction general contractor Construction Project Engineers with past work experience pertaining to large scale commercial, healthcare, or medical office building projects are encouraged to apply. LEED Accredited is a plus Knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling and estimating Ability to read and interpret plans Proficiency using Microsoft Office software such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Project Experience using Viewpoint, Revit, CAD, Navisworks and BIM is preferred Basic understanding of cost analysis Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong customer orientation Able to organize and manage multiple priorities Strong team player Leadership capabilities Must have a valid CA drivers license and a good driving record.
