Job Description Job Description ABOUT THE POSITION As a
Fairchild Tire Technician, you will be traveling throughout our
Fairchild Northern Market servicing Fairchild customers by
dismounting and mounting all types of tires. We work on LP, diesel
and electric forklifts, scissor, and boom lifts and much more. This
position will be given a company owned/leased vehicle to complete
the essential duties and responsibilities of the position; this
position requires a valid and good standing driver’s license. This
position requires 40 hours work week with flex scheduling which
gives flexibility to allow the employee to determine work shift for
both daily and weekly hours; however the Tire Technician must
ensure the needs of customers remains a priority. ESSENTIAL DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan and coordinate daily/weekly work
schedule by list of priority of work orders given; responsible of
managing work schedule and work orders while ensuring customers
remain a priority. Operates a mobile tire truck, while abiding by
Department of Transportations (DOT) rules and regulations; drives
to various customer job sites to install tires. Practices standard
safety protocols when removing, rolling, and positioning tires on
the press. Adjusts, sets up, and operates the tire press to press
tires and hubs together and assembles other components per
specifications. Dismounts and mounts tires of different types;
removes lugs or fasteners from wheels and/or rims and removes tire
assembly. Responsible for assisting with loading and unloading
tires. Communicates with customers on when and where equipment is
to be taken out of service to install new tires. Informs customer
work is complete and has customer sign paperwork after verifying
all information in correct. Maintains and keeps record of inventory
levels for warehouse in mobile tire truck. Monitors and keeps track
of scheduled maintenance intervals and sends truck in for
maintenance. Adequately cleans and maintains service equipment,
mobile truck, and warehouse. Participates in job related training,
including supporting the safety program and its policies and
procedures. Willingness to take on additional duties and
responsibilities as asked by the Service Manager. REQUIRED SKILLS
AND ABILITIES: Class B CDL is required. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and
attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with proven
ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work in a high-paced
environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED

or tug objects in a sustained motion. Lifting- raising objects from
a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally form
position-to-position. Grasping- applying pressure to an object with
fingers and palm. Talking- Expressing or exchanging ideas by means
of spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken
instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly,
or quickly. Hearing- Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal
speaking levels with or without correction and having the ability
to receive detailed information through oral communication.
Occasional physical activity of the position: Climbing- ascending
or descending. Balancing- maintaining body equilibrium. Fingering-
perceiving attributes of objects by touching with skin,
particularly that of fingertips. The visual acuity requirements:
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an
activity such as visual inspection involving small defects, small
parts, and/or operation of machines. The worker is required to have
visual acuity to perform an activity such as performing mechanical
or skilled trades tasks of a non-repetitive nature. The conditions
the worker will be submitted to in this position: The worker is
subject to both environmental conditions: Activities occur inside
and outside. The worker is subject to extreme cold: Temperatures
typically below 32 degrees for period of more than one hour. Worker
may also be subject to other environmental conditions such as wind
and humidity. The worker is subject to extreme heat: Temperatures
above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Worker may
also be subject to other environmental conditions such as wind and
humidity. The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise
to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above the ambient
noise level. The worker is subject to hazards: Includes a variety
of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical
parts, moving vehicle, electrical current, exposure to high heat
and exposure to chemicals. The worker is subject to atmospheric
conditions: one or more of the following conditions that affect the
respiratory system of the skin; fumes, orders, dusts, mists, gases,
or poor ventilation. The worker is occasionally required to
function in narrow aisles or passageways. The worker may be subject
to oils: there is air and/or skin exposure to oils and other
