A well known service provider is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to help safeguard their client's highly sensitive systems. In this critical role, you'll help strengthen the cybersecurity postures, drive response capabilities, and build smart, automated defenses that protect sensitive operations. Cybersecurity Operations Engineer $160-180k base + great benefits Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid) Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily security operations and work with internal development teams to build out and automate responses. Continuously enhance detection and response capabilities to protect regulated environments. Automate threat response procedures using scripting (Python, PowerShell) and SOAR tools. Conduct forensic investigations and root cause analysis of potential security incidents. Integrate and manage tools like SIEM, EDR, and vulnerability management platforms. Partner with IT, compliance, and engineering teams to implement effective, audit-ready security controls. Develop dashboards and metrics to monitor risk, response time, and security effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, preferably in a regulated industry. Hands-on experience with detection tools, incident response processes, and automation. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
