If you are a Manufacturing Engineer looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Eden Prairie, MN location, you will join an engineering team providing support, development, and manufacturing of Magmeter and Vortex flowmeters. This manufacturing engineer role will provide operations support, provide new product introduction support and work on short and long-term duration engineering projects. This individual will partner with other departments and world area manufacturing sites with a focus on driving solutions to best serve our internal and external customers.
AS A MANUFACTURING ENGINEER YOU WILL:

• 
  Apply technical expertise, commensurate with formal training and limited job experience, to design and/or develop manufacturing processes and equipment requirements.
  
  
• 
  Work involves choosing between alternative proven technologies with some originality and moderate technical risk.
  
  
• 
  Use data to recommend design changes to product or process to improve safety, quality, service level, and reduce costs
  
  
• 
  Tackle production problems and lead improvement teams
  
  
• 
  Connect with suppliers of material and equipment on technical and/or administrative matters.
  
  
• 
  Work closely with production teams and other departments such as Supply Chain, Design, Quality, and internal Manufacturing Software
  
  
• 
  Prepare detailed plans, generally spanning several months, necessary to complete assigned projects. Develop and approves schedule milestones.
  
  
• 
  Participate and may lead new product introductions through stage gate process with other functional groups and world areas.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with factories and teammates in US and numerous global locations.
  
  
• 
  Travel to Emerson factories in United States, China, Romania, and Mexico will be required (up to 10%)

  REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

    Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or Science from an engineering school
    
    
  • 
    Two years of applicable experience
    
    
  • 
    Legal authorization to work in the United States
    
    
    PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

    • 
      An ABET-accredited engineering degree
      
      
    • 
      Four years of applicable experience
      
      
    • 
      Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Degree
