TSI has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Firmware Engineer in Shoreview.TSI, headquartered in the Twin Cities, provides trusted measurement, application guidance, and data analytics solutions that enable our customers to make informed decisions. For over 50 years, we have worked closely with leading academic institutions and government agencies to ensure the safety of people, the quality of manufactured goods, and the health of the environment.The Sr. Firmware Engineer will be responsible for developing state of the art embedded products which interface, collect, and process data from control devices, sensors, and equipment.

• Develop real-time embedded firmware control systems and algorithms
• Work closely with project and product managers through the full life cycle of firmware development: requirement specification, design, implementation, testing, and releasing.
• Serve as a senior level developer on projects, providing guidance to other junior engineers as needed. Ability to work cross functionally with manufacturing, marketing and sales to move a project forward.
• Ensure that system level tests are fully designed and implemented to validate project work.
• Responsible for providing strong documentation and specifications on project work.
• Help clearly define product requirements for new firmware programs.
• Stay abreast of latest developments in agricultural control systems and architecture, including communicating with technical staff and product managers on trends and opportunities.
• Assist engineering staff in understanding firmware development issues. Recommend ways to reduce development cycles and increase product quality.QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in computer, software or electrical engineering
  • 3+ years firmware / software development
  • Embedded Development using C or C++
  • Programming C# in a Windows based .NET environment preferred
  • Control systems and/or state machines
  • CAN bus networking design and applications
  • Object oriented design methodologiesby Jobble
