Job Description:
The Engineering Product Manager II role collaborates and builds
relationships with other engineering product managers to translate
business problems into features and user stories that delight our
customers and achieve business objectives. You will collaborate
with business partners and engage with customers and users to help
define the product or service vision. You will partner with other
disciplines to create and communicate a functional design for the
engineers who support your domain. You will build your knowledge of
business processes, understand your team's domain, solve problems
for your business, and have a passion for technology.C.H. Robinson

office.Responsibilities:
- Understand and translate business, customer and user needs into
software development work for features in your team's product
domain to create solutions and deliver business value
- Analyze and document identified business process and/or
improvement needs given information from multiple business partners
and data sources
- Take a data-driven approach to identifying key metrics and
ensuring that features improve them
- Create user stories with acceptance criteria that represent
planned work and regularly review and prioritize your product
backlog
- Create release documentation such as release notes, training
documentation, error messages, and knowledge base articles
- Apply domain knowledge of the supply chain industry to deliver
features over multiple releases; understand existing products and
solutions and how they impact features being delivered
- Keep team leaders and business partners informed on
deliverables; identify and escalate risks that could impact project
or feature deadlines
- Partner with others to create, coordinate and execute on test
plans; this may include quality assurance testing (QA), user
acceptance testing (UAT), and defect and issue tracking
- Respond to and prioritize support incidents, including
diagnosing the issue and working with your team and others to
determine a potential fix
- Stay informed on what is in the market for comparable products
as well as what your business and customers are requesting
- Collaborate with user experience team, software engineers, and
other engineering product managers to validate that work aligns
with overall technical vision and achieves business outcomes
- Create and deliver technical product demonstrations to
technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactively seek mentorship from others
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned according to the
team and/or country specific requirementsRequired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or
minimum 4 years of equivalent work experience and high school
diploma/GED
- Minimum 2 years of engineering product management, business
analysis, or industry experience
- Experience working with a team, problem solving, and
successfully delivering on a projectPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience shipping large scale, commercial grade software
(custom built and off-the-shelf solutions)
- Experience reading and writing analytical queries using SQL,
PowerBI, etc., to support research and analysis
- Knowledge of agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
methodologies
- Ability to understand technical and non-technical details and
bridge the knowledge gap between your business and technical
teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability
to collaborate with a global team of peers and stakeholders
- Experience facilitating meetings, keeping focus and balancing
multiple viewpoints from stakeholders
- Ability to take on multiple priorities, manage time
effectively, and deliver on commitments
