providing just audiological amplification. Our hearing aids now
incorporate Artificial Intelligence, embedded activity sensors,
language translation and transcription services, as well as an
always-on personal voice assistant.The Network Engineer role is to
ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, data, video,
and wireless network services. Responsible for analyzing,
designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing of
network infrastructure and application components. Performs a wide
variety of evaluation, maintenance, installation, and training
tasks to ensure the computer network performance meets company and
user satisfaction. Provides direction, information and
recommendations regarding network configurations and
installations.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTSMaintain a thorough
understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings
(DNS, DHCP, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM,
etc.)Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network
configuration, network mapping, processes, and service
records.Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and
associated training plans for network and voice administration,
usage, and disaster recovery.Configure and setup network security
appliances for access to vital business applicationsDesign, setup
and configure complex switching environmentsDesign, setup and
configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured
access and the ability to support voice and video
applicationsMaintain a thorough understanding of Local Area
Networking (LAN) and Wide Area Networking (WAN)Assist in the design
of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS,
Ether-Channel (Bonding), etc.Configuring and installing client and
server network software for upgrading and maintaining network and
telecommunication systems.Maintaining multi-site network operations
and software applications, operating systems, and regular
maintenance with both private and public facilities.Managing
assigned projects and program components to deliver services in
accordance with established objectives.Ensure network connectivity
of all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, fax machines,
and other network appliances.Practice network asset management,
including maintenance of network component inventory and related
documentation and technical specifications information.Monitor and
test network and VOIP system performance and provide network
performance statistics and reports.Perform server and security
audits, and system backups and recovery.Responding to inquiries
from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and
outside vendors and etc. to provide technical assistance and
support.Supervising the administration of systems and servers
related network to ensure availability of services to authorized
users.Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware, VOIP
hardware and software applications, telephones, and security
systems to resolve operational issues and restore services.Other

Education, Certification and Experience RequirementsEducation (i.e.
4-year college degree, license, certification)Bachelor's degree and
2 years related experience; orAssociate degree with 4 years of
related experience; or6 years related experienceExperience (i.e.
years of work experience related to the job)Proven experience and
success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and
implementation.Proven experience with network capacity planning,
network security principles, and general network management best
practicesCisco Unified Communication Manager configuration and
infrastructure a plusKnowledge / Technical RequirementsProven
knowledge and experience with VOIP phone systems.Knowledge of
applicable data privacy practices and laws.Competencies, Skills &
AbilitiesExcellent hardware troubleshooting experience.Competence
with testing tools and procedures for voice and data circuits.Good
understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.Ability to
communicate in an understandable, polite, and friendly manner, both
written and verbalStrong organizational skills and ability to
multi-task in a small business environmentAble to conduct research
into networking issues and products as required.Ability to present
ideas in user-friendly language.Highly self-motivated and directed,
with keen attention to detail.Proven analytical and problem-solving
