Primary Responsibilities:
This role is for a senior cloud infrastructure as code engineer that will join a team responsible for managing a growing cloud-based data ecosystem consisting of a metadata driven data lake and databases that support real time analytics, extracts, and reporting. The right candidate will have a solid background in infrastructure as code engineering and should have a few years of experience on a major cloud platform such as Azure
The ideal candidate will be very comfortable writing code on a cloud platform using languages such as Scala, frameworks such as Apache Spark, and products like Databricks
The candidate should be comfortable working with data lakes and databases, including any aspect of administration or support required to maintain them

Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
3+ years of -Linux O/S experience (for example RHEL7)
3+ years of -Scripting experience (shell scripting/python, etc.)
2+ years of -Cloud platform experience
2+ years of Version Control -experience (Git or equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of Infrastructure -experience: Cloud Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
i.e.: Terraform, ARM templates
Docker
Kubernetes

2+ years of -experience with Scheduling/Job Orchestration Tools: Azure Data Factory

1+ -years -of -experience with Log and search analytics: Splunk
Grafana

Terraform -experience
CI/CD Implementation -experience
Data Integration Tools -experience (Spark/Databricks or equivalent)
Big Data experience with datasets in the hundreds of Terabytes to several Petabytes

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary -range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary -range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
