Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1 years
Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these
qualifications will not be considered. An elementary school in
Minneapolis, MN, is seeking an experienced Intervener Substitute to
provide one-on-one support for a first-grade student with dual
sensory impairments during a six-week leave period. This position
requires delivering individualized assistance to ensure continuity
of services while the primary intervener is on leave. Location:
Minneapolis, MN Duration: 6-week leave coverage, starting March 2,
2026 Schedule: MondayFriday, standard school-day hours (exact
schedule provided upon placement) Grade Level: 1st Grade
(Elementary) Role: Intervener Substitute Key Responsibilities: -
Provide consistent, individualized 1:1 support tailored to the
students needs - Facilitate communication, orientation, mobility,
and curriculum access according to the student's IEP and
established routines - Support sensory, environmental, and safety
needs to promote a secure learning environment - Collaborate with
classroom teachers, related service providers, and the Student
Services team to ensure comprehensive support - Document student
observations and progress following district policies - Maintain
continuity of services during the primary interveners leave
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree required - Valid Short-Call
Substitute License from PELSB - Prior Intervener experience
preferred, particularly in supporting students with sensory
impairments (deafblindness experience highly desirable) - Ability
to implement communication systems and sensory access strategies
effectively - Strong collaboration and communication skills to work
