Roseville School of Dance is looking for Dance instructors/choreographers to work with our recreational students (ages 2-18). We are hiring for our 2019-2020 school-year session dance season (Aug thru June). Applicants must have a LOVE of dance and a passion to share that love with children. We are a recreational program that prides ourselves in bringing dance to kiddos and families that other wise might not be able to experience this level of education. We are incredibly lucky as a recreation program to have a beautiful studio, and the stellar teachers. Whether its money or time keeping these families from going to other studios, we are here to provide top-notch dance education and recital track classes accessible to everyone... and let me tell you we have an incredible dance family/community because of it. We pride ourselves in offering a dance program that helps develop the whole person, instead of just the dancer, in a fun, family friendly environment! Our goal is to challenge each dancer at their level, to foster the love of dance, all while teaching creative problem solving, touching on dance history, and promoting team work/cooperation. We are looking for employees who agree with our philosophy, who are upbeat, positive and encouraging. Additionally, successful candidates will have the following characteristics/experience... Professional and respectful attitude, with an ability to work as a team and independently We prefer previous dance teaching experience, but we will consider the right person with a movement or exercise background and great leadership/classroom management experience. Classroom management skills are a must! Choreography skills Positive and encouraging with all levels of students Ability to teach to a range of skill levels at once Knowledge or desire to teach Baby ballet/creative movement, Tap, ballet, Jazz, and/or Hip hop Our most successful teachers have a desire to teach a combination of the above styles Teachers will be expected to participate in the end of the year recital, picture day, and costume selection processes, all of these events are paid and required.
