Job Description Job Description Preco is now hiring for a full-time Service Technician for their Maintenance and Service team in Somerset, WI. The responsibility of the Service Technician to provide remote technical support to customer maintenance personnel and machine operators, perform electronic and mechanical bench repair work as required, and provide quality parts to keep the systems in operating condition and maintain maximum customer satisfaction This position requires extensive domestic and international travel to install, service, and conduct operator and maintenance training on the entire line of Preco, LLC. products. Preco is a leading designer and manufacturer of precision automated processing systems for high-speed and high-accuracy cutting, perforating, welding, and other specialized industrial processing applications. With our proprietary die cutting and laser-based manufacturing capabilities, Preco has also become one of the largest contract manufacturing service (CMS) providers in North America. Key Responsibilities: Travel to customer sites to install the entire line of Preco products, troubleshoot and repair, and conduct operator and maintenance training Provide prompt, efficient, and technically correct telephone and email technical support, answering customer questions on system operation, providing troubleshooting assistance to customer maintenance personnel, identifying and providing replacement part numbers, and taking replacement part orders. Perform final checkout of new equipment being shipped to customers, and complete the necessary inspection paperwork, ensuring that a quality product is shipped and that all manufacturing processes are critiqued and updated. Assist in the development and presentation of service maintenance classes for Preco service associates and customer maintenance personnel. Assemble and wire system controller upgrades, using crimping and wiring tools, drills, and small hand tools to complete the projects. Job Qualifications: High school education or GED required. 2-year technical degree preferred 1 years of industrial experience Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics Computer skills i.e., Microsoft Office, CAD, Syspro a plus Strong math and communication aptitudes Our dedicated staff keeps us at the leading edge of precision automated processing systems in our industry.
