Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the
Division Controller is responsible for managing the plant financial
data of the US operations of Phillips & Temro Industries. This
position is part of the corporate finance team for consolidated
Phillips & Temro Industries.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for all manufacturing cost accounting
activities including cost estimates, inventory valuation and
department spend.Ensures accurate standard costing, provide cost
estimates, analyze manufacturing variances, maintain appropriate
inventory reserves, and support process improvement.Support both
internal and external audit objectives by evaluating and assuring
that related processes have controls in place and are effective and
adequate for operational efficiency.Coordinate preparation of
Operations budgets to assure accurate overhead costs and direct
labor rates.Responsible for monthly reporting of actual and
forecast data for domestic manufacturing and supply chain,
facilities, office services and order management
departments.Responsible for the reporting of U.S. inventory and
turns for all manufacturing locations.Perform analysis and give
guidance to manufacturing, supply chain and process engineering
departments.Produce cost and operational reporting and maintain key
performance metrics for monthly Operations review
meetings.COMPETENCIES:Excellent verbal and written communication
skills.Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal skills,
including ability to resolve disputes and observe
confidentiality.Ability to use PC and widely used software
packages, e.g., spreadsheets (Excel), word processing (MS
Word).Ability to learn new software packages as necessary (SAP a
plus).Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of
priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under
pressure and changing conditions.Ability to learn new duties and
adjust to new situations encountered on the job within a reasonable
amount of time.Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain
constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an
organization (both inside and outside the
company).QUALIFICATIONS:B.S. Accounting or equivalent required.
CPA, CMA or MBA preferred7+ years progressive accounting
experienceExperience with financial operations in a manufacturing
environmentDemonstrated cost accounting and analytic skills,
including inventory analysis and controlsStrong background with
ERP; SAP preferredExperienceRequired10 year(s): Relevant
experienceEducationRequiredBachelors or better in Accounting or
related fieldPreferredMasters or better in Business
