Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)The IT Procurement Lead, with the direction of the Chief of Staff, is responsible for effective, IT-wide purchasing of services, hardware, software, licensing, and other IT supplies to maximize cost efficiencies, price leverage and quality, while also identifying potential risk to the organization.You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies that maximize procurement efficiencies and cost effectiveness of the IT supply chain
  • Ensure that all sourcing and procurement activities support and are aligned with IT supply chain strategies, regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Support/manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Drive supplier consolidation and leverage spend across the IT department
  • Manage the competitive bidding/vendor selection process
  • Negotiate products/services and pricing, as well as terms and conditions
  • Ensure adherence to applicable business standards and requirements
  • Work closely with Legal to manage, review, and drive execution of contract documents
  • Assist with guiding IT projects to ensure timely costing and procurement
  • Manage invoice processing, approvals, audits and assist with budget management
  • Manage purchases from estimate, through requisition to PO
  • Work closely with Quality to set vendor management standards, as well as develop and monitor vendor management performance plans
  • Identify technology and tools to assist with procurement operations
  • Assist with the coordination of sourcing and procurement communications, both internal and external
  • Develop and monitor vendor management plans
  • Develop and implement vendor based Corrective Action Plans

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of experience, education and/or applicable military experience
    • 5+ years of procurement, vendor management, and supply chain management
    • 2+ years of ITIL or other ITSM related framework or discipline experience
    • Solid understanding of IT operations and their related dependencies for executing our contracts successfully
    • Understanding of end-to-end system dependencies (Infrastructure, System, Data, Telecom, Desktop, Mobile) to the resulting contract outcomes
    • Solid grasp of the technical fundamentals of software development and be able to work within complicated IT systems to plan projects
    • Proven interpersonal skills including the ability to present, persuade and provide professional presentation materials to both large and small groups
    • Demonstrated ability to coach, inspire, and lead IT professionals across multiple disciplines
    • Proven team building & management skills to include strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills
    • Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills
    • Proficient Microsoft Software Suite skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $87,900 to $156,900.
